Height is offneed some kind of offset?
I'll be using my D15 on the 285K. I'll be using it with a mix of workloads from gaming, Handbrake, Vegas Video ,etc.Sooo do you all think (guess) a d15 is good enough to use on a 285k at stock settings? Only video software i really use is Handbrake and convertxtodvd. Ill probably have to use a 360 aio but would rather stay with air cooling.
If it were just a sticker, it would not be so thick. But even so, what exactly is so obvious to you ? Please do enlighten me, because there is ZERO information about this that I could find. You said it was the sticker or fibreglass. That's just the label above it. Obviously they are using a new technique or they wouldn't be able to achieve these speeds with non CDK ram.
I'm still surprised that the quadrank jedec spec got raised all the way to 4400. Which is potentially very good news from the IMC side.I think they are just being conservative so people don't get disappointed when their 245K with 196GB RAM can't hit "what was advertised"
You can see the memory controller speed, it's Gear 2 as long as things are the same as previous generations, but soon we will know for sure.
I'm going to wait a bit with my 2x32 dr A die kit for the time being to see if the ckd kits are worth it. Regardless I plan on stepping down to 48GB the massive bandwidth advantage is too hard to pass up.for now i'm keeping the 8400 kit from gskill ive had for a bit now, atleast till there is more info on the CKD stuff
no sirvee_?/SÃ, lo es con 360 AIO + Kit de montaje
Sin kit de montaje son 81 grados
Todos los refrigeradores 1700 son compatibles con 1851, pero con el kit de montaje obtendrá mejores resultados

I plan on using a NH-D15S or NH-D15 G2 on a Core ultra 265K/KF.I'll be using my D15 on the 285K. I'll be using it with a mix of workloads from gaming, Handbrake, Vegas Video ,etc.
I currently use the 14900k on it, with HT disabled it goes up to 87 degrees during Handbrake, so I expect the 285K to be better.
if you can't do 9000 gear 4 with 2x24gb kits..... throw the board awayI wonder if that means our existing high bin kits may work at 9000+? I was assuming I'd need a $400 (or more) CKD kit.
Nothing a die grinder cant fix lolno sirvee_?/

Why would you order now when you don't know if if will it will have an offset bar .I've ordered the CPS RZ820 air cooler ahead of time for my planned build with the 285k. It's certainly one beefy air cooler, 1.8Kg lol. I'll be trying out the Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet on mine. But I've also got some spare tubes of Kryonaut Extreme floating around from my 14700k home server build back in July.
Link to the product: cps
Ordered mine through a Japanese seller/distributor off Amazon.
I'm still undecided on a motherboard though.. I kinda want to wait for the CAMM2 motherboards to launch, and make my decision then. Assuming they launch before the end of 2024. Otherwise my build won't be "complete" until the RTX 5090 drops in next year sometime anyways. (Timeing works out good with tax returns here in the US lol)
Once I do get everything together, I'll be certain to post some of my own benchmarks and results. Here and on my discord server.

It's just a slow gradual process as I'm also working on finding a local job to transition out of OTR trucking.. I've had 5 interviews 3 in person, and 2 over the phone, and still no luck. 10 years of experience, 1 million safe driving miles, been with my current OTR company 6 1/2+ years.. Job market is pretty much crud atm.. but eventually I'll find something, I'm a persistent bast**d lol.
Judging from this maybe it doesn't even worth to delid it. Just put a PTM on it and a good waterblock and call it a day.
