Check and confirm if the drag and drop is working again since you deleted ghe reg keys.. also, make sure core isolation settings are turned off, they have a huge impact on score
I did all of that.

Which version do you have installed ?

Edit: nvm, i can see it was the latest version. Well the fix shouldn't break anything, i have tested it various times, all it does it specific to one feature, either enabled or disabled. Make sure nothing elss has changed.
All I did was add those keys and reboot. Drag drop was broken. Score dropped.

Then I deleted the keys and rebooted. Drag drop restored, but score was still low.

Then apply the reg keys again and reboot and test.. maybe for some reason, the feature was already disabled and when u deleted the reg keys, it got re-enabled.

But it was nerfed with the reg keys present. And they were not there originally. Not sure what happened. I've seen that kinda of weirdness before. Sometimes just flipping the power plan back/forth between balanced and high performance with fix it. That didn't work this time though.

Yes the feature will be enabled by default without these reg keys. Anyways, it's really weird that this happened, it never happened with me during testing.. it was either good score (with reg keys disabling the feature) or bad score (with reg keys deleted or just enabling the feature by changing the value of EnabledState to 2 from regedit, or simply update the value from cmd, keep all the zeros on the left, only change the last digit (from 1 to 2)

they are just not random btw, i took the exact reg keys changes after tracking vivetool's process while enabling this exact feature. you can go and enable feature ID 50556886 using vivetool and see it will end up creating the same keys. anyhow, if you don't have this issue, no need to fix it.
I am on 26100.2161

I'm not really questioning the troubleshooting, but I want to know more about what is going on and why before I do anything.

Apparently this is related to some form of security feature or anti-ransomware? Well turning that off doesn't sound like a good idea for security.

I restored the image back after testing a different version of Windows and now it's almost back to where it was, but not quite. LOL Changed NOTHING.

But older versions of windows always win in this anyway, so doesn't really matter. (Win10 shown below)

This has absolutely nothing related to disabling any security features.

NO change for me with 265K on 26100.2161

Same score before and after doing those reg commands and reboot.

Interesting, the tests i did were on 14900HX.. maybe this means hardware also plays a key role here ? Though others have confirmed it to be working on other hardware as well.. who knows :/

Honestly, just go use a modded ISO. Dont bother with stock ISO's. Official microsoft windows releases are literally dogshit and ironically those modded isos are actually more privacy friendly, and is much lighter on the system.

I currently use W10 ghost spectre superlite 20H2 and I couldn't be more happier. You can adjust EVERYTHING from a batch file, is super light compared to stock, less bloated and feels snappier. After a whole install + drivers it takes up like 6GB of space. On idle, with a 32GB setup it uses around 1.1gb on a fresh install.
