So this is what I've gotten so far with the better of my two cpu's. Yesterday I decided to delid the cpu because I had extremely high temperatures in YC and other heavy cpu benchmarks. Incidentally, the CPU jumped from SP111 to SP112 with the Mycro Pro block (little bonus lol) The CPU can now easily run CB23 5.6ghz, and 5.7ghz light gaming. Thanks to @der8auer for an awesome product. I've struggled a bit with memory overclocking, as I'm used to Apex and Intel, but thanks to @Kaliz and @domdtxdissar for tips and tricks to help point me in the right direction. I've jumped a bit between Adie and Mdie, but am currently on M-die. With such a midrange motherboard, it is tough to achieve high speeds with the A-die. In addition, it is not certain that I have the best imc :) I have just started this ZEN jurney, so more to come.

Nice! Thanks for sharing. Can you say what the highest static OC you were able to pass cb23 with prior to delidding was? And what your temps were like then vs what they’re like now?

Could anyone post their own guide / quick steps for manual OCing?

My PBO (per core -25 to -28) and +200 boost is doing better than any eCLK I set, interested to see what BIOS settings you folks are using to get better results.

I'm on an ASUS board (x670e-e) if that helps with guidance but I reckon you experts will be able to offer general rules of thumb regardless of board.

Highest static CB23 was 5.50 to 5.525 depending on water temp. After delid it does at least 5.60 at 1.25v. Have not tried higher because i have been busy with game benchmarks and RL :D My guess is 5.625-5.650 ish, but i will report back once i have it dialed in.

Excellent results, especially Cyberpunk, Dawntrail and CB23!

I will rerun again and try all core overclock to see if i can match your Cyberpunk numbers. I think I can beat your Dawntrail run with some lower ambient temperatures.

I just ran SOTTR and got 479 CPU average FPS with PBO, but I don't think this benchmark is a good CPU benchmark anymore.

I cannot match your CB run, top out at 24500. Anything over 5.450Ghz crashes. It is beyond AIO and CPU capabilities for me.

Thanks :) Yeah SOTR , i just ran for fun. But the scores is some what random, lol :)

I think you had an above average sample to begin with, despite the sp111 rating, if you were passing cb23 at 5.525 prior to delid. Probably picked a good one to move forward with. One of my chips will do cb23 at 5.525 and 1.225v, but has a terrible imc. The other has a strong imc but can’t pass beyond 5.45 or so. Cant decide which I’ll delid, if I decide to pull the trigger. Or just keep it whole so I can sell it if the 9950x3d warrants an upgrade, and maybe delid that one.

How are you lads doing an all core overclock? Just setting the eCLK manually and PBO to auto with FMax disabled?
In the AMD overclocking menu the first or second option is manual core oc, you just type in your desired clock and voltage (5500, 1250). It’ll automatically disable any PBO you have active that it isn’t compatible with. I don’t know how it interacts with ECLK as I don’t have that on my board.

Oh goddammit I've been using the ASUS "Tweaker" PBO menu and forgot all about the AMD version in another area, will try this ASAP cheers mate!

Maybe, but my cooling is probably a bit above average. LOL. Car radiator in the attic and tripple d5 pumps. I would keep the one with best IMC if i were you. I think they all can do 5.5ghz pluss with direct die. Its nok like Raptor lake, 1000 mhz difference between a good and a bad one..My second chip has a horrible IMC, and cores to, so that one is going back. A no brainer.

Some 8400 c34 2200FCLK baseline testing. Forgot to change to 16 threads from my prior APU testing. My IMC likes low VSOC for 1:2 mode ( only 1.000)
