32GB 6000 CAS 28 or 48GB 6400 CAS 32?

Hey all, as you might have seen, looking to build a new 9800X3D system most likely using X870 MB. Trying to decide between getting the above memory configs. I'll be coming from 8GB so 32 seems like total overkill, but I've been out of the game so long I'm not sure if it is or not at this point and in the future.

I'm not sure which kit to look at for the 32GB. Suggestions welcome.

X3D cpus don't really benefit as much from better DDR5 due to the large cache.

The 48GB kit you are looking is also a very good overclocking kit (Hynix M-Die) so you should be able to manually tune it to have tighter timings.
32GB is more than good enough for current and future games and 48GB is going to be overkill.
Personally I would get the 48GB RAM.
