Hi again. What could be the issue with effective clock being lower by 25 MHz in all core workloads like CB 23? If i OC it to 5425 my effective clock will be 5400. Is my chip defective? Has anyone else seen this behaviour? If I do +200 curve optimizer -30 my CB 23 score is 24000. Is that ok score? Should I return CPU or it is ok?

Seems fine to me. 24000 at -30 is not bad at all. Keep in mind you can get higher score the "clean" windows install and changing the program to real time.

What overclocking method is best when you have a MB that supports eCLK?

Scatter bencher method or something else.
Good question. Im also would like to know about eCLK OC.

These two are completely different people. 😅Look at the bench table.

Listen.

I know the deal if I posted it on an Asus board response would be different and the certain individuals in play would not be in play. Your little clique makes this to obvious. Try to be more subtle

Finally got around to mounting my TG direct-die. I was planning to water-cool the DIMMs at the same time, but I’ll have to wait for a few more kits to arrive.
Been experimenting with Gear 1. Initial results aren’t all bad I guess, but 6600C26 was a complete no-go

How much really need for 6600C28 and what for a bin is it?
I need 1,55V, i think a really good bin ca do arround 1,52V

Not sure, but a really good bin would be c26@1.64ish? This is Royal Neo 6400c30

Don´t know it my kit can´t boot up to 1,67V 6600CL26.
Only to boot 6600CL28-36-36 it needs 1,57V, but up to 1,6V not stable.CL28-37 is at 1,55V stable.
I think for 6600@CL26-36-36 had done my 6600C32 Bin up to 1,7V, but that kit was looked:poop:

But for me in 24/7 is 6600C30-38 or 28-37 ok, the difference is really less. With such less gain of performance i dont spend the time to select much kits.
I will test a Asus Board, because my G95SC OLED can´t display the MSI Bios resolution

Use as much as possible eCLK and as little as possible fmax PBO. It'll boost longer and higher under high loads with less voltage. I run 5500 all core at 105.3 eCLK with no fmax but PBO enabled and 0 CO. It holds 5500 even in Cinebench just fine around 1.217v.

Public service announcement

Be wary of those selling binned cpu's providing HCI as proof of stability.

@Carillo strong cpu buddy. Karhu even if gdm on (y). Keep up the good work and keep it legit.

On the magical GENE so the ASUS trolls don't get upset i'm using any other brand board. ( oh you didn't think i had one 🤣 )

No further questions your honor.

Probably a mix of things. I’m currently in the middle of testing eclk with pbo and curve shaper.

Only tested cb24 to check relative performance increases but…

PBO +200 eclk @ 105 with negative offsets for low+ medium and positive offset for high (games were crashing without a positive offsets here) in curve shaper > 1431-1442 for multi and 144 for single after about 8 runs of each.

PBO +200 eclk @ 104 with no curve shaper settings > 1456 for multi and 146 for single.

More experimenting tonight.

Well, my TGs are better.

Have you tested frame times and gaming performance with 320mV VDD-VVDq offset? This offset makes it normally easier to pass memory stress tests like Testmem Karhu and HCI, but gives horrendous stuttering in cpu demanding games witch means it's not really stable at all.

I play games all the time. Right now I'm playing STALKER 2, and Call of Duty. I've had it set up like this since the 7800x3d days and everything is fine. Nothing stutters, great performance.

(y) this. the closer you can run vddq/vdd the better although after some point it becomes impossible. as either AMD doesn't prefer or the sticks don't prefer much over 1.6-1.65 vddq.

Unless your chasing like crazy c32 high speed stuff like myself and dom.........the voltage range will be optimally closer together especially when you find a kit that is a cohesive match for your board.
