Is it there a MANUAL yitry

Do you have a the fans plugged into the x870e Hero work for you?

They work in my case but no matter what I put in the bios, nothing. They go as they want.

I'm using Bios 0505 (better ram oc).
Hello,

All my fans are connected to one fan controller that the PC case came with, and his plug is connected to the motherboard. They are working, no doubt. For me it is the other way around; I can control the fan speed inside of my BIOS, but they can't be detected by the Windows app.

Something so simple but here we are trying to control our fans. Agesa... 🤐

Hey ✋

In case someone is interested and wants to try, this is my daily 8200 MHz CL34 profile so far, which is stable no matter what I throw at it. My suggestion is to check the FCLK afterward; maybe not all of the CPUs can do 2200 MHz. I must mention that my memory is water-cooled, and I don't bother with the temperature; most of the time the memory sticks are chilling at mid-twenties.
If you don't want to go with the voltages that high or use a fan, you can check 8000/8200 MHz TCL 36, using the same timings and voltages as below, but VDD and VDDQ can go at 1.45. I already checked, and for me, it is stable as well. I hope it helps someone in need.

Cheers!

What exactly have you thrown at it?

Hello, please give me some advice

For 9800X3D + X870E HERO, what RAM do you advise me to buy.
I intend to set it to auto in BIOS to the highest supported EXPO value, without too many headaches.
What do you recommend for a 2x24 ? I could reach 8000 only with Expo profile?

Stable set on my 6000mhx CL28 sticks until my 8200mhz sticks arrive

The 8200 kit should be great. 6000cl28 is good as well.

Do you know if there is difference between single and dual rank ddr5 for gaming? I know it is for DDR4 but I can't find consensus about ddr5.
I'm testing 64GB (2x32) 6400cl32-38-38-80 @ 1.4v.

after a few days i stable on 7800c36. last time i could boot with 8000 and the system would shut down when i started tm5 after 15 seconds. seems like it would run longer if i put CL40

I'm having issues with one of my front usb 3.0 ports it seems. If I connect a 32gb usb 3.0 drive to this specific port then it flashes for a second in file explorer and in the system tray and I hear the windows sound but then it immediately disappears and then just keeps doing this over and over. Weirdly, I have a smaller 2gb usb 2.0 drive that seems to work just fine in the same port. If I move the original flash drive to any other different port then it works just fine. I tried another larger 32gb usb 3.0 drive and it behaves the same as the first drive. I don't see any issues in the device manager. All of my rear usb ports work as expected. I was on bios 0606 but I just upgraded to 0706 and no change to the behavior. I'm on windows 24H2 and believe I have all the latest updates for the board installed from Asus' website. Have any of you experienced this or have any ideas?

Yeah i'm gonna try to run it 6400 CL28 hopefully

SR is always the way to go, that way you get all the performance out of your ram

I'm not sure if things changed with DDR5. In DDR4 dual rank stress the MC either in 2 dims (dual rank each dim) or 4 dims (single rank).

In the screenshot I attach Jedec specification in AMD website. They put 2 modules (dual rank) with the same speed of 2 modules single ranked.

I can't find clear info like it was with dual rank DDR4 about difficulty to overclock. It was more difficult in DDR4 but also there were gains dual ranked with only 2 dims. 4 dims is a big no for OC.

What I'm looking for is to use only 2 modules dual rank 32GB.
2x32GB.

If someone can clarify about this will be great.
