Asus accepted today the Z790's RMA and the package will leave tomorrow. I bought this one at 400€ with shipping. It's a little too much 480€ 😕

Im pretty sure that most of the Z790 white apex rev 03/04 can do 8000mhz+ easily. I had 4-5 white apex before, plus my friends here I think about 8. None of them are disappointed. I haven’t seen any CPU can’t do 8000 on the white apex rev03/04 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Can you share the sticker on the box with serial number and especially manufacture date ? If it's March 2022 and newer, there's a big probability it's a A04. Around October 21 till February 22 it would be A03, and previous one older A02, A01... But in real case scenarios it's not an exact science, I have an A02 and I can boot into windows at max 9066 dual channels. The most important is the IMC and the sticks, mobo unlocks the last ~5/10% maybe.

It's from 2023 so it's probably A04. That's good enough assurance for me.

Maybe I'm wrong about the date of 1 year because Z690 was launched in 2021 and the Z790 1 year later in end 2022, so A04 should be around March 2023 but all revisions A01...04 are really close each other because a really few samples was made.

Ok,ist nur eines von vielen Apex die ich hatte, da ist seit Monaten nur ein Pentium drauf, wurde vielleicht alle 3-4 Wochen mal kurz eingeschalten.

Zu Maxxmem oder so kann ich also keine Aussagen treffen, außer dass es meine 48 TG M-Dies @ 8200 gefressen hat als ich kurzfristig einen i9 darauf hatte.

bought it out of a barely used gaming PC because of R-Batch, but have not used it ever since, so it is a surprise egg.
