I am back on working with this :) surprisingly, the build is almost finished! Most of the pending work was sleeving work in fact. Here are some updates.

I took measurements of the position of the RAM and CPU waterblocks on this new build. One reason I made it this way (using a very simple distro plate ) is that whenever I need to change the CPU/RAM configuration, I can simply adjust the top plate of this small distro, which is very simple to machine :) , the bottom channels aer wide enough to support positioning G1/4 inlets/outlets

There is an auxiliary DDC pump in the pedestal, this one is also controlled by the aquacomputer PA3, during initial filling it will be disabled, after that, it is expected to run at low speeds. Because it is controlled by the PA3, I desoldered it's cables and replaced them with a 3-pin LONG extension that goes to the PA3 "cluster" at the top of the case:

For the bottom radiators, I am using Arctic P12s that I had from a previous build, these are very very quiet at low speeds, which I expect to run on the pedestal. These coolgate radiators are massive!, and FPI is low enough for them to work with low speed fans. All of these controlled by the AC6, however there ar 12 of these, so the control is purely PWM and power comes from two sata connections. I am using a cheap PWM splitter for these.

And I just machined it a nicer top just for fun.

This and the ARGB controller are sata-powered. I made PSU cable for two sata power ports

And with this, the pedestal is completed!

The pedestal is purely tubed with primoflex advanced lrt, which is for me the best tube I've used since 2009! the pedestal will join the Ascension side using the distro plates on the bottom of the Ascension. I wanted to use quick disconnects to join them but I plan on using the two I have for a different build.

Now, back to the PowerAdusts, the third and last PA3 arrived, with it's heatsinks too!

I also made small 3-pin cables for the AquaBus daisy chain that goes to the Aquaero 6XT

Plastic Toy Fictional character

With the aquaero, PA3s and my RAID SSD cage in place, I made some new molex extensions and their combs, also new combs for the downstream pump and fan controller:

It really gives a sense of separation between chambers, something that the duality ascension was lacking for my build, for dual builds (which is it's original purpose) it makes more sense, but I needed this separation :)

Behind the angled piece, there is an alphacool filter: Alphacool ES Inline particle filter 2x G1/4" IT , this is the least restrictive filter I have, I also have the "big" variant of this filter, which in my opinion is too big!, even for this case! I could only fit it inside the pedestal, but doing maintenance to something inside the pedestal is something I do not want to do.

And do you remember this piece?

It is the PSU shroud, I got it done as well, in fact, I made it last year out of sheet metal and painting. I suck at painting to be honest, I do the usual 600 grit, 800 grit, clear coat, 1500/2000 grit and then polish, it never turns really good for me, but messing up is part of the process.

First I had to drill some holes:

And I ran out of black screws, so these will do for now, but here it is, the PSU shroud in all it's glory!

As I am doing VFIO, I wanted to have no latency on some USB peripherals that I will be using on my Windows 11 VM. I bought a USB 3.0 PCIe card, the things one has to do to support VFIO properly!

And that is for this update :) I am plating the last two copper pipe pieces, re-do the 24 pin extension and I think we are ready for tubing the new build all together! and of course, a picture of the keyboard of the day: OSAv2 Topre-ver with GMK Analog Dreams R2:

See you in the next update

And with this update, Tree Diagram is closer to it's completion!

Bicycle frame Pipe Bicycle Bicycles--Equipment and supplies Steel

I ended up doing most of the build during Saturday, only today I had time to post my progress.

First of all things, I am a twink, it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to lift Tree Diagram already build and ever worse, filled. This think is taller than the Alex IKEA drawers I use for my desk. So first things first, the pedestal is already built with the following things:
  • Mountain Mods Pedestal 24"
  • Mountain Mods Silver Feet x4
  • 2xCoolgate Quad (480) 120mm Ultimate Heat Exchanger Radiator CG-480
  • 8xArctic P12 PWM Fans
  • 8xSteel Mesh 120 mm Fan Filter (Medium Size Hole) - Black
  • Generic PWM+aRGB Hub
  • Alphacool DDC310-Complete Edition (Custom Sleeved)
  • Fittings: Mixed 3/8 1/2 Nickel Compression Fittings (Alphacool mostly)
  • Tubing: PrimoFlex Advanced LRT 3/8 1/2 Blue
  • Drain: 90 degree Alphacool Fitting + Bykski Drain Valve

Custom Sleeving: Teleios 4mm (Gunmetal Gray, Silver, Black), 3-pin headers from AliExpress.

Kidding aside, sometimes I like to think that I have the aptitude to take on such a feat, but reality is, I lack the patience or talent to do so. Seriously, I'd have just bought a small fridge and found some way to make that work, with some generic silicone piping or something.

The fabrication presented here, is awesome, and your attention to those details is phenomenal. With those shiny pipes, it's almost like I'm looking beneath a panel on a rocket engine. It almost looks like it belongs at CERN with the LHC.

Projects like this ought to be a standard component of a computer science or engineering curriculum.

I been away a long time from the overclocknet. I'm the man with the cnc. just received a new mb to update my 1000D (Z690 Glacial). i like your work and skills.
