I am mainly wondering what I am missing by running this game in DX9 mode Vs DX10?
I have all the in Game settings as high as they can go, And I still Avg 35-40 FPS at 1920*1200 Res With 2XAA 16AF on.
So Am I really missing very much Detail or anything else by not using DX10?
Thanx for any help!!

i took several screens of both and couldn't tell the difference, I even checked fire, gun smoke (overload), water, explosions, sand kicked up by the vehicles, weather, even the damn animals and I couldn't find any difference whatsoever...

but in my mind I know DX10 is "supposed" to be newer and better so I gotta have it

Well, DX10 represents a update in the way the graphics are calculated as well. Giving it more potential to look better than DX9.
To bad Far Cry 2 dev. team did'nt understand this when they made the game. . . .

Crysis with the Very High hack on XP looks identical to Crysis on Very High DX10.

Same here, stutters all the time. . . Also the gamma correction level keeps fluctuating all the time. . .

So for the most part there really is no diff?
For instance in Stalker Clear skies, With only DX10 can you get the Few added Graphic options that are not available on DX9.
I am waiting for the Tweakguides Crew to make the Far Cry 2 Tweak guide to help everybody who has the same questions as me. Tweakguides is by far the best in game sttings reviewer I have seen. Always very thorough with what all the settings do, and the very subtle differences that they can make. Great to be able to see what settings you can turn down a notch or two to gain some peformance to turn others up, Like AA.
Thanks for the replies everybody.

Maybe thats just an ATI problem, because even maxed I don't have any problems.
