If I remember correctly LCDs need vsync more than CRTs due to the technology. Both suffer screen tearing, but CRTs are much more subtle with it than LCDs. I use both and that's what I've picked up on at least.To OP I recommend Vsync on CRT's not generally LCD's. It has to do with how CRT's project the image on the screen and the greater likelihood of tearing. Also because of greater refresh rate of CRT's vs most LCD's (except maybe the newer 120Mhz). At least as I understand the LCD is less likely to suffer tearing and with lower refresh more susceptible to any delay. CRT's more susceptible to tearing and more forgiving to any delay?
That is my understanding if I am wrong? So be it.
