Assassin's Creed 2 codex wall: help please?

ALERT: There will likely be a small spoiler in this thread at one point or another, so please, be warned.

I am at the part in the game when you are back in Florence and need to kill the 9 lieutenants. I have all of my codex pages, so I went to the Villa and put them up on the wall. Then I went into eagle vision and rotated all of the squares until I got it right.
I know I got it right because it played a little bit of music and sort of flashed.
The problem is, nothing else happened. No cutscene, no unlocked memories or anything. Do I have to wait until the very end of the game to finish the codex wall?

A cutscene should have taken place if I remember correctly. You're 100% positive that you have everything correct? I thought I did and nothing was happening, until I realized that one of the squares wasn't correct (even though it looked fine).

I'm not sure. I didn't even have the wall completed by the time I should have (I got to the point were all I had left to do was collect the pieces to complete the wall). Although when I did complete it Mario said I could finish whatever I had to do before moving on (trying to not give too much away).

Maybe just keep playing the game. Any idea how far along you are (where are you in the storyline I mean?).

Oh ya, when you started to try and solve the puzzle (once you had place all the pieces), was there a little pow-wow going on in that room with Mario and others? There should have been a cutscene before going in to rearrange everything to solve it. If there wasn't, then you probably haven't played far enough yet.

Towards the end of the game it gets to a point where you cannot continue the story unless you have all the Codex pages. So once you get to that point in the game you should see a cutscene explaining all about the Codex pages.

Kill the 9 lieutenants first. Then that part will work. Also, as was mentioned before, I thought I had it right too, but one of my squares needed to be rotated.

You have to wait till all the Assassins are standing around the codecs pages looking at them, thats when you need all 30 pages.

are you sure the wall is correct? coz its suppose to talk about the Vatican thing after that if I remember correctly.
