Asus HD7750-1GD5

No room for 3 slot gpu cooling solution.

Really need an better GPU cooler for my parents pc. The GPU overheats to 85c under gaming (30min)
That's at 30% fanspeed. They dont want it any faster than that, as the GPU fans then becomes too noisy.

So I have been sent off, to look for another GPU cooler. If its even possible for that videocard.

-- Arctic Accelero Mono PLUS, but acording to the compatibility list, it fits HD 7770 not HD 7750

. And havent checked how bulky it were anyways.

-- Thermalright t-rad 2 compatibility list, does not seem to support HD700 series at all.

Am I right about the two statments above? If yes, what else is avaliable?

The Accelero S1 will take up 3 slots also when you add a fan. Plus you need width and length as the size is much larger.

What case is being used?

IMO the case has some really simple look clean look.
For the price it is very good and offers plenty of room for a Matx case. As long the mobo in parents system is matx.

Think I'll give them the Fractal Design Core 1000 for x-mas.

However how do I know if their Asus HD7750-1GD5 uses reference mounting holes, so I can fit the S1 Plus on it? There is nothong on the net, showing PCB.
As the whole purpose with the smarter and better pc-case, is so the S1 Plus can get installed on the GPU.

So its 175mm width? Then the S1 Plus should fit alright.
175m is total width of case, not where the mounting is for the gpu heatsink.

148mm is CPU heatsink height. Aftermarket GPU heatsinks are more gamble compared to cpu heatsinks. As there is so many different cards it is harder to know what will fit or not.

I got reply from Cooler-Master, regarding the N200 pc-case. Which I also find very nice. And it also got a little bit of cable management. And PSU at bottom. It has 150mm width clearance for GPU cooler. So thats more than enough for the S1 Plus.

But still waiitng for fractal to reply also, on the Core 1000.

Alright. So the final product were the brand new x5 series Fractal Design Core 1500. Which he just got in his hands right now.

I must say, I'm not myself that impressed by the quaility. There were an lose screw inside the pc-case. The bottom dustfilter holdments, two of them had to be bent down. otherwise the dustfilter could not fully snap into place.
One of the sidepanels at the back where you tighten the screws, were slighty bent outwards (at the rear back). So it did not fully up against the pc-case itself.

For 55 euro, I'm not sure if he could have expected more. But if you ask me, this is sloppy quaility control issues

EDIT: Also he got an Asus GTX650-DC-1GD5 now. After the HD 7750 had massive coil whine under games. So he got full refund back. And now happy with this card instead.
