Do you need thermal pads or thermal adhesive?

If you just need to stick some metal heatsinks to something, you need adhesive and not a pad.

They make thermal adhesive but it's easy to make your own that performs better. I did it a while back on my first WC loop with some tiny heatsinks on the vRAM modules on my GPU.

Comes off fairly easily too - thermal adhesive tends to be more permanent.
