Is there any way to get rid of the retarted dirty lens effect? its by far the most annoying thing in the game. Everywhere i go i see damn spots all over the screen.

have to agree, id like to see it go away as well. i was starting to think it was a bug and supposed to go away like the persistent meowing that replaced the alarm at one part. i think its there to emulate water on the lens? i tried shaking it off at one point even

Does BF3 actually even support outside mods to things like textures, tessellation, and stuff?

Doubt anything significant has been released but it'd be nice to have something to look forward to.

Can't imagine many graphical overhauls anytime soon but some minor tweaks to add to optimization would be nice.

That isn't reality. Its actually fairly dumb, considering we are seeing out of our virtual soldiers eyes. Meaning its a person, and tell me, do you walk around seeing lens flare and spots all day?

it only happens sometimes especially in the bazaar map when you go into the alleyway/tunnel

it does fade away after awhile for me...IMHO doesn't bother me

But now I'm thinking, if you look at your teammates in SP, do they even have some sort of eye protection on? So maybe you're the only one wearing tactical goggles/visors.

they are wearing this all the time i think..

They should make a patch that has an option to take off your goggles (remove the effect) and put them back on at user discretion. Side effect of not having them on is temporarily blindness (blurry vision) if something blows up near you and debris gets thrown into your face.

No, but you can clean your glasses...

I really hope they give us a way to turn it off. I just closed the campaign because i can't take it anymore. I think though, that's its Much much worse in the SP, i hardly noticed it in the MP.

Your seeing through glasses. Soldiers don't just go out into war without safety glasses you know.

Yeah but in the movies they leave them on their helmets all the time, and then they have problems when the flashbangs go off.

Safety glasses scratch super easily. Perhaps, for realism's sake ofc, after 15 minutes, or a few dives into the sand, you can't see at all.

To be fair, I imagine there isn't much time to wipe them clean when you are getting shot at.
