Here is my build on this case. Really nice to work on.

i do have a few things that annoyed me about this case. But i will get to that later.

hello ,very nice and neat build there. great cable management there

i have couple of questions if you can kindly help me, i am planning on buying that case so i was wondering:

1- what is your radiator thickness ? can i install EK XE 360 (60mm) with push only fans up there ? (planning on cooling the cpu only)

2- how was the mounting of the reservoir to the HDD mounting bay area ? did it need any modification ? or drilling ?

( i was planning on buying an extra single HDD bay and place the heatkiller tube on it with its stand and drill into the bay)

3 - did you use some light bars in there ? i see this case when light up from the inside it gives a very good looking due its smoked tinted glass panel:thumb:

( was planning to buy white single color LED strip from cooler master to light it up in there)

Hi, Thanks !

1. I have a ek slim rad and a ek 48mm rad on there. there is PLENTY of rad space in this case the top clearance is pretty good. i believe jays2cents fit a 60mm ( may have been 48 ) rad on the top section of the case on a video he did recently.

2. The res i used was a xspc Photon res ( it has a vertical mounting plate which is nice for this case ) . I did not need to drill, i just used the holes that were there for the hard drives. I used different screws than what was provided but its by far the most solid res mounting i have ever done. It worked really well. i can confidently pull on the res and nothing will move. I think you can probably mount the heatkiller on a cage . It definitely wont be as sturdy as mounting it directly to the side wall though. If you can find a way to use those hardrive cage holes to mount directly onto them i would do that.

3. I used silverstone led strips which have a lightbar effect due to their non clear plastic housing.

https://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Technology-Mystic-BIOSTAR-LS02/dp/B01MV46VAF/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1508019683&sr=8-2&keywords=silverstone+light

it's a big case you might need to light up one side plus top to get good lighting. The glass is also pretty dark.

Thanks alot for all those hints,

yes i saw jayztwocent video and i saw him installing XE 360 rad up there but when he mentioned he said he installed a 45mm rad then i was puzzled. i asked him on the comments there but no reply yet.

for the reservoir i have 3 mounting options , 120 or 140 fan bracket and long or short stand and lastly a basic mounting kit which i dont know will it fit into the holes of the HDD cages mount section or not

the basic mounting kit : http://shop.watercool.de/epages/WatercooleK.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/WatercooleK/Products/30236

the stand : http://shop.watercool.de/epages/WatercooleK.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/WatercooleK/Products/30231

nice find on that silverstone rgb led strip. as i love light bars more as it give more sleek looking this is the best of both worlds

i will use 2 of those plus there will be 3 HD120 corsair fans up there on the radiator which will give more lighting

again very thankful for your help

The fan mounts and the stand are the safe option. I think the basic mounting kit will look the best. If the screws dont line up you can just get 2 random pieces of metel that are a little longer and drill the proper holes for it. It's a little more work but it might be worth it. It probably wont be long enough now that i am looking at it so you will most likely need to do that if you go with that route.

here is how i did it. It was very simple with the photon res.

hmm yes its simple with the photon, i had so many thoughts about the reservoir model but my final decision was for the heatkiller tube honestly mainly for its aesthetics. i guess i will buy the stand and the basic mounting kit all together and decide which to use when i receive the case as the ETA to have my case is still 15 days in my country

i will go with purple color for my build , still cant decide which coolant will give me the best vibrant purple , i love the green coolant you used looks very vibrant. i am wondering are those petg tubes or acrylic ?

these are petg, I used mayhems. Their UV reactive stuff has a nice glow to it even if you dont use uv lights. Im not sure if there is purple pastel from mayhems but im sure you can make it.

actually yes there is purple pastel but when i saw some pics for it , i felt i need a darker purple. so i guess i will just get their purple dye and i have some dragon ice white pastel fluid and i am gonna just see how it goes there and make my own as you mentioned . i will post some pics after i am done with this . this will be my first hard tubing build . hope everything goes well

Thanks alot man

I think its one or the other but since the case is all screws you can probably easily mod it to do waterver you like.

Good luck, make sure to buy lots of tubing if you are going to do lots of double 90 bends. I suggest buying multilink fittings and only bending the tube one time so you can adjust by cutting. Bending a tube twice is really difficult to get right. And if you dont get it right. it's trash

Yes you can do that.

I have it in the office here.

Hello Again , i have a quick question as i cant decide which way to go. as the case will be here on sunday

- i am planning to install two rads in there. either (2 x 420mm EK CE) or (1 x 420 EK CE placed in the top + 1 x 360 EK XE placed in the front)

which way to go ? as you have the case will this actually work or fit ? which is the better option ?

i want to have a good space for the 8 Pin EPS in case anything happen if need to disconnect it ( jaytwocent had trouble with that) as also i am planning to use 16mm OD PETG tubes

thanks in advance

I have got the case and put one EK CE 420 in it. Like you I was thinking of putting in two EK 420 in it. I did my measurements based on 'one' EK CE 420 that I bought. Based on my measurements, it seems like you may manage to fit two EK CE 420 in it ( though you have to push and shove the 12V CPU connectors down to fit it as Jayz2Cents pointed out ) , it looks like it will be a nightmare to connect one reservoir to the another. The radiator on the top can only have it's inlet/outlet holes on the right side ( the front side of the case) and those inlet outlet holes will bump into the front standing EK 420 CE it seems. There is no way you can fit the top radiator with the inlet/out let holes towards the left hand side/ the back of the case. Other wise fitting two EK 420 CEs would have been really possible.

To me it seems like one 420 in front and one 360 is the way to go with Cosmos C700P just as the manual suggested, you can see pics of a guy who it seems have done the same in twitter here https://twitter.com/Eidelweiss. Looks like he put a 360 on top and a 420 in the front. But hey if you manage to fit two 420 CE in there and manage proper tube bendings, let me know and please put up pics please

Thanks very much for your reply. and pointing out your findings.

can you describe why its not possible to place the 420 radiator with its inlet/outlet at the back of the case ? what problem did you manage to face in that orientation ?

i see that the radiator bracket is symmetrical and as everyone said in the reviews that the bracket is center mounted so its not mounted to the front or to the back of the case so when i thought i said this will be good because the 420 is rather taller than the 360 radiator but it will manage to fit.

i already have 360mm radiator with integrated pump and reservoir from swiftech ( MCR320-DRIVE-R3 ) (http://img.ncixus.com/images/65367_l.jpg) as it was my first water cooling setup and it is still doing a great job

as you can see my radiator is rather taller than the normal 360 radiator as it have integrated pump and reservoir in it. in worst cases i will use that with another EK CE 420 in front and my 360 on top

based on the numbers i see on cooler master , the radiator bracket is 446mm long and the EK CE 420 is 460mm long. how is it even be able to fit ? front or top ?

i am honestly more puzzled right now

please if its possible and you can post a pic of the EK 420 CE attached to the radiator bracket ?

Thanks again

@babebunny

did you try this way ?

i guess it can work and you then mount one radiator down and one radiator on the front

strange layout indeed but i love that the case gives you many options

still waiting for the case to arrive it got delayed one more week : (

Hi Tranceformer, I have not tried it in the way the Video was showing. I tried it the normal layout and in that way fitting two 420s is indeed very difficult. In a different layout, fitting two 420s may be possible, but I have not explored those options yet, so I should not comment on that.

Hi Tranceformer, the problem is not the radiator bracket, the brackets will indeed take 420 rads each, but the problem is that the top radiator bracket is forced stuck towards the left hand/back side of the case and you can not move it towards right/front of the case cause the top front is occupied by a fixed panel that houses the circuitory for the LED light bars in the case etc.If you try the Mobo in a different way , then the limitation may be overcome as noted above. But I actually want to use the top and front radiators cause that is how I have set up my fans like that. Unless I change the Mobo Layout, leave the fans as is, and use another set of fans with the rads.

i can understand your point now and after watching the videos again and again i see why its not possible to fit two 420mm rads

its just that i am calculating everything blindly because i do not have the case yet

i will update once i receive the case this week
