Hello, I just got Crysis 2 and I have a problem.

When I open the game, I just get a black screen, the sound and a mouse pointer.

When I move the mouse around, I can hear the mouse go over the selections in the game.

I have an nvidia GTS 250 with latest driver v.275.33 and a Phenom II x4 840; full specs in sig.

Does anyone know what I can do? (possible driver or nvidia control panel setting problem?)

That usually happens if you are using a crack for a previous version (1.1)

Get a legit game

update to patch 1.9

Update, and run Crysis2.exe from: C:program Files/ Electronic Arts/ Crysis2/ Bin32

Check your Graphics drivers and overclock Utilities because when I tried to OC my GTX550 Ti it corrupted my graphics drivers and it would keep black screening me as well.

All of the latest Nvidia drivers had obviouse issues go back to the 260 version's.

Personally I downloaded the 275.27 and was forced to revert back to 266.58, so I know for a fact that atleast 66.58 performs better and 75.27 was unplayable.

I updated the 1.9 patch when I first got it and have been opening the game through bin32, but to no avail. I also put my GPU back to stock settings.

I shall try the older nvidia 260 drivers.

thanks.

I got it working, but can't mention how because of the mods.

But as I was playing the game on ultra settings, when I died, the game crashed. I think I am going to go back to the 275.33 driver or whatever the lastest one is by nvidia.
