Looking for a companion for my laptop. I'll be using it for some light gaming; mostly Civ, FTL, and the occasional shooter. I've been using the Logitech 305 because it was so cheap and portable, but really think it's way too small and not very comfortable. What do you guys use for your mobile gaming?

Depends on what you mean by decent. Here are some in the 60-80 dollar price range, kinda expensive, but it is good to look at all your options.

Razer Orochi $60 I wouldn't always recommend a razer product because I think after razer gained popularity they began to milk their fanbase and good name a little with higher prices, but pretty much most of their products are quite high quality. Be warned though that synapse 2.0 is really annoying and you have to use it to adjust settings for the buttons or dpi.

It has pretty good reviews on amazon and a positive review on oc.net

G700, $64 Logitech's top of the line previous generation mouse, can be used in wired or wireless has a ton of buttons and great software. Apparently it has hit or miss battery life but it uses AA batteries that can be replaced.

G700s $75 Newer version of the G700 has a new coat of paint, a different coating, and slightly better battery life.

Logitech G602 $80 Logitech's newest mouse, a wireless only mouse that boasts a bunch of buttons but also an amazing battery life. According to the description (it has two modes for power consumption vs. performance basically) Get up to 250 hours of battery life in Performance mode or 1440 hours in Endurance mode.

Great list. It'll give me some things to chew over, but I'm not sure yet if I want to put that much into...I'll really have to be smitten. I was playing with a Logitech Marathon 705 in Staples the other day and kinda like the shape it has.

I should mention that I owned a Deathadder previous to my RAT3. I can't argue the build quality being anything but topnotch, but hated it's shape. I much prefer the RAT3. Only complaint I have is it being a little too small, but it wasn't a bad buy for $30
