Same as New Warranty* and Support

Dell Outlet gives you the same limited hardware warranty* and service as if you bought new, plus we offer a 21-day return policy on all Dell Outlet products.

Dont do it, I have one. If you have that money to spend on a monitor get an ACD instead.
Wait, an Apple Cinema Display?..... they lack control features for many things unless you are using a mac.... plus they are glossy which some people do not like..... not to mention they don't have several ergonomic adjustment features....

But the colors are soooo much nicer.... As long as youve got mini display port your good to go. My Dell monitor is now my terminal/email/calendar monitor while all my real work goes to my ACD.

Ironically I have a 5870 Eyefinity 6 graphics card that has 6 mini display ports. And it does work with the ACD. Pricewise you can only get a 27" Apple Cinema Display compared to $900 price tag for the ultrasharp.

Plus, how does one calibrate or make setting adjustments for the ACD given I don't think it has any physical buttons to make such changes?

It is an H-IPS panel versus Dell's P-IPS I believe. The U3011 also has 16:10 ratio. Not to mention it is has 7ms response time so it can game too. The ACD is 12ms.

You would have to calibrate with software, And I personally prefer the 16x9

The only real negative I have heard about the Ultrasharps is the Anti-Glare coating dulls the colors a bit.... but, it is either that or glossy and have issues with the ACD.... I will take the former...... also, you can get a calibrator that will use what it sees on the outside of the screen to correct the color anyway.

Not sure what the best one for the job in this instance is though.
