If you have a fan controller, do you simply set it at 100% and leave it or do you ramp up/down your fans depending on usage?

For example, if I'm gaming, I'll turn my intake/exhaust fans as well as my push/pull radiator fans to 100% but right now before bed I'll knock it down to 70% of so as it will be on but only downloading overnight with minimal load.

LOL, reading it again it does sound a little silly.

When I first built my machine, I simply would leave everything at 100% but doing non-intensive tasks like web browsing, I would ramp them down to reduce the noise. Even now, I'll put the fans to 50% at nighttime to reduce dust intake when it shouldn't be getting hot at all.
