TMPIN2 is the NB on the newer boards if I'm not mistaken, but previous to about 800 series TMPIN2 described the VRMs/MOSFETs.

Skitz can you confirm if when running p95 that tmpin2 Iis around 15-18c higher than core temps??

I agree with you that TMPIN2 isn't the CPU. I've starting believing it cause everyone is getting 15c-16c higher than their core temps for TMPIN2 and that's not possible and that's why I asked you whether for you it was the same.

So can you confirm for me. Run p95 on your overclocked chip for 5 mins and show me the HWmonitor temps. One guy is actually writing to Gigabyte to inform them of then anomaly.

yep it does my tmpin1 was 44c and tmpin2 was 65 so 2 has to be vrms and 1 has to be cpu

yea at least i know now and i could reoverclock my cpu up tp 4.7ghz and see my vrms temps

With Cool and quiet on my core temps are around 19c and TMPIN2 keeps jumping and is anything between 30-45c.
