I've been planning purchasing the i3 4150 for my new home server but was wondering if the slightly faster 4360 is worth the extra $30. It has slightly higher clock speed (3.7 vs 3.5) and an extra MB of L3 cache (4mb vs 3mb). Aside from standard file backups, the server will also be running plex, as well as a development environment for WAMP and SQL Server.

I'd say save your $30, not much performance gain in my opinion. Plex and WAMP run fine on a lot of Atom based NAS's so the i3 is more than enough. SQL would be more about your RAID throughput I'd think.
