Hi,

Just thought I'd come here to show a performance number that took me by surprise - Intel i5 8500 6C/6T Coffee Lake CPU - On an Asus TUF H310 Gaming Plus motherboard - No OC'ing of any kind (not possible)_XMP was permitted by the motherboard - Wow is all that can be said - Chip in if you agree !!! - (or not) !!!

He's saying even a mid range modern part can perform well.
Yes, this is correct !!! - Thank you and happy Christmas !

Well the 5820 K @ stock clocks of 3.3 Ghz >> turbo >> 3.6 Ghz (or what ever it is @ stock)__is around 13,000 points & 1950+ single threaded >> When clocked to 4.6 Ghz it is another story ! so seeing the Coffee Lake i5 8500 score higher than 5820 K on multi-threaded and single threaded (@ stock) was a surprise to me.

5820 K @ 4.6 Ghz saw 17,000+ multi-threaded and over 2700 single threaded in Passmark Performance Test -
