I currently have a 27"/1080p and sit about 2 feet from it and I find the screen just too big possibly while playing games kinda feel like I can't take in the whole screen at once and seems to be having a negative impact on me, is this possible ? I'm not moving my head but it seems like my eyeballs are moving too much.

Here's the question that maybe hard to answer when looking at the screen do you for the most part are not having to move your eyes around and they stay mostly fixed in one position ? Now if I were to get 27"/1440p would it be safe to assume that at the same distance regardless of resolution that it will also find it to big ? Moving it back is not a option so don't suggest it, I like being close to the screen plus 2 feet ain't that close.

I sit about 2 ft from my screen and have no problem. Also had 27" 1080p which wasnt a problem either. I would think 20-24" is probably the standard distance most people sit from their screens, so not sure why you would be having such an issue. But I understand what you're saying and would probably experience it too at 12-18", not 24".
