I've been playing payday 2 and just bought a MP5 and the iron sights on block too much around the target to use it for long distance shooting. So I need a dot in the middle of my screen and would rather not have to put a piece of tape on my monitor.

Anyone know of a way to do this that will work in full screen. Have seen at least one method that works on games that are ran in windowed mode.

Pull a couple jobs now that you have the MP5 and you'll start to see weapon mods drop for that gun. Hopefully one will be a red dot sight and you can buy that to attach to it. Should fix up your problem.

So you are more likely to have a mod drop for a gun you are using than another gun? Now that the beta is over I didn't re-purchase the mp5 because I am afraid to. The sight just blocks to much area. You can't really replicate a sight like that in a video game because in real life only half of your vision is looking through the sight. I can't see anything with this thing lol.

well a different gun comes at a cost... the accuracy, ammo capacity, etc. The MP5 is a very capable weapon in the game... I ended up buying AR Pistol/Sub Machine Gun. Not as accurate but easier to aim. We will see what happens... by the time I actually get a sight mod I will probably be able to buy the p90 so it might not even matter.

Anyways none of this actually answers my question.

Anyways to have a dot on the screen in full screen mode without actually putting a dot on my screen? People used to do this in CS but I don't think it works anymore...
