My speakers have died and I don't know what to do. I have the Klipsch Promedia 2.1's that I got off another member here a while ago. They have recently stopped working and the LED on the satellite will not light up. Does anyone know what could be wrong or how to fix it?

i got mine off ebay open box for about $40 shipped. i was disappointed that it didnt have an on off switch. so what i did is put all my lcd's and tv and speakers on a seperate power strip and turn it off when i'm out of the room.
does yours have an on-off switch? my friend has the same speakers but his have a switch. mine doesnt have one even at the back of the sub (which would still be pointless).
so may be open it up and see whether the fuse burned out.

There's a very good chance one of the fuses has blown in it. Seems to be a problem with these speakers, along with the DIN plug breaking.
I can't remember what type you need to replace them with though, should be on klipsch's site.

The fuse is on the back of the sub, right next to the power switch . Mine have this anyway and they're an older model, like ten years old. It looks like a little black button witha slot. Hope thats it. According to the quick research I did this is what you need.

If there's no fuse then there's likely nothing you can do to fix it. There should be a fuse though.

how about post pics of what it looks like inside maybe someone can point out something...
the promedia 2.1 are legendary speakers but old. i dont think they'd be worth trying to fix if it isnt a quick fix.
