Ryzen 9 7950X - B650E Aorus Master - 2 x 16GB Corsair 6200MTs CL36 (CMK32GX5M2B6200C36)
Currently running fine at default PBO for CPU, 2167MHz FCLK, 6200MTs for RAM.

I've got a weird issue where disabling memory power down leads to my computer eventually going into a 'funk' of crashes/freezes. So far, this setting is the only consistency in the crashes. The weirdness is that if I disable memory power down in BIOS the system could run perfect for hours (benchmarking, gaming, etc.), but eventually starts crashing. Anyone else experiencing this issue? I'm running the RAM in XMP mode as these sticks aren't programmed with EXPO. I'm ready to chalk this one up to an immature BIOS but hoping others have some insight.

The 7950X is an absolute beast! I'm getting a Cinebench R23 multi core score of 38396!

Asus x679e0e mother board. 7950x cpu. with power down enabled even causes bios program to freexe. i have a report in with Asus and I am going to try a different Mother board.
it also causes BSOD's at different times. I am thinking this might be tied in with the voltage/overheat issues with enabling expo/xmp and 7000 series rtaeb chips.

Yes. Just got my Asus B650E-I and yes, as soon as you flip MCR to Enabled it also flips Power Down to Enabled. Now the thing is, if we want to use MCR and also need Power Down Enabled, isn't that absolute garbage for latency and performance? I'm sick of 55 second POST time... not even full boot, just posting.

I have an ASUS ROG B-550F Wifi MB, and my RAM sticks have RGB on them so they would suddenly stop flashing or stay frozen until i restarted the ICUE software, today i realized that by disabling the Power Down option the lights stay consistently on and flashing and my PC feels more snappy, i have 64GB of Corsair DDR4 RAM at 3200mhz.

System:
Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX F33a - 7900x - G.Skill 32GB Trident Z 5 Neo RGB 6000-36-36-36-96 Using EXPO settings

Have my system since October 2022. Did the occasional BIOS Update. It ran stable without any issues until December 2024. There the bluescreens (Memory Management) and freezes started to happen. MemTest86 throws errors, OCCT too. Using the OCCT CPU+RAM tests throws hundreds of errors in a few minutes.

After readings this trying, MCR and Power Down Mode both disabled.

Does anybody else have the problem where they are getting errors in RAM tests?

Welp, have an Update, ran OCCT for about 19 min and it started to throw constant errors.
