Hi all,
I'm at the last 2 parts of my build which are the cpu and gpu and well monitor if that counts as well.
So i have my eye on the devils canyon i5 4690k or the i7 4790k but i'm not sure if its compatible with my msi z87 g45 motherboard i understand the new cpu's are for the z97 series 9 boards and presumably some manufactures will do a bios update for series 8 boards and i wanted to confirm if it will be compatible since the cpu comes out tomorrow, and i'm not sure if i want to go with the i5 or i7 most people say that i5 is good enough for gaming as this will be a gaming rig but i understand some games run on the cpu and not so much gpu, and the 500ghz increase is nice, but i also read that hyper threading runs a bit choppier on some games, as for the gpu i'm getting the gtx 780 ti from zotac the amp version for $639 free shipping and no tax.
Monitor im leaning 90% for the qnix 1440p monitor.
any advice is welcome and thanks!
