Hey, I have an m45 corsair and a logitech gx9, As I understand it; It's better to run mice at their native dpi. Does anyone know they prefered dpi settings of these mice and a way to test pixel skipping or jittering in an environment more objective than just gameplay? The sensors for these mice are as follows:

corsair m45 sensor: Pixart PMW3310 5,000 DPI

logitech gx9: Avago S9500

3310 doesn't have a native step but it's best to keep it under 2000 DPI and you'll be fine.
No clue about 9500.

Why? Can you link to the reason?

For 3310, above 1550 the sensor has increased smoothing, so you should keep it under 1550.

For 3360, this limit is 2000.

Didn't qsxcv say that 1150 is when the 3988 raises its smoothing and the 3310 has the same smoothing across all CPI levels?

Now I am confused. So it doesn't matter on the 3310?

I might be wrong here:
3310 is fine on any dpi levels in increments of 100 50. Though it doesn't mean you should ramp it up to 3000 or 5000 or something.
And 9500 is based on dpi increments of 90, and if you feel some accel then the lower the dpi level the better it will feel. But if my memory isn't wrong, the G9X software allows 400/800 instead of 450/900, which might still be fine.

3310 has native increments of 50.

It's just generally better to keep under a certain value with most mice to avoid smoothing, increased input lag, jitter and other shenanigans. I'm pretty sure it's not exactly 2000 but you get the point.
But yeah, 3310 is native on all steps, it doesn't matter.
