Short answer: Yes. But it will not be pretty nor smooth, and probably not enjoyable.

 

Yeah, but the in-game graphics would probably have to be turned way down just so that it can play smoothly.

I play cod4 with 8400gs with a 5600 windows xp 32bit runs perfect on medium...

But 8400 sucks man, u will never beable to play gta iv or anything else

It will run on like medium for cod4. I used to run one.

 

If they want inexpensive decent graphics, just have them grab G92 off of the marketplace here for cheap.

 

Look for a used 8800 gts or 8800 ultra. I saw a bunch of 8800 ultras going for ~50-60 bucks yesterday. Those would be amazing budget cards.

You can find GTS250's on here for like $70 all the time.

Yeh im working on a 250 atm on the marketplace im just gonna make him return the 8400GS, now if i could get the rig to stop freaking bsod'ing. Thats a different post though.
