I recently upgraded to Aquasuite X.72. I noticed that all my hardware sensors(CPU load an temp. GPU temp, etc) have stopped working -- please see screenshot below. I no longer seem to be able to read from HWInfo, for which I have the paid version, or to select as a data source any of the items from the Aquasuite Service / Hardware Monitor section, all of which are turned on.

Is this functionality buggy in newer versions? has it been disabled?

Thanks!

The functionality has not been disabled, neither is it any more buggy then before

Firstly, I would check to make sure the Service is running (aquasuite>Service)
If the Service is running, be sure to deselect all the Sensors under the Hardware Monitor section
As you are running HWiNFO, there could be collisions if the aquasuite is also polling the sensors

You are correct, there are 4 virtual sensor available on the aquaero. I was working from memory, and that is destined for fail. I have an unused aquaero I plugged in to check.
  • There are 8 Software sensors to which you may assign any temperature sensor able to be read by the aquaro
  • There are 4 Virtual sensors, which each may have a combination of Software sensors assigned
  • There are 5 different Virtual sensors modes available

Thank you! Really appreciate you taking the time to check up on that.

There are multiple parties interested in the aquaero 6 XT Blue which includes the following:
  • Remote
  • Passive heat sink for aquaero 6, black
  • aquabus X4
  • Plug for relay connector - 3 contacts
  • Plug for power output connector

I am not sure of the value as there is nothing out there to compare to, not even on Ebay.
Perhaps the fairest method is for interested parties to DM me their offer, and best offer wins?

Hey all, so I had an idea and I wanted to run it by everyone to get their thoughts before I tried it. My idea was that since the Aquaero 6 PCB/mainboard is theoretically the same (as far as i see anyway)on the A6 PRO, A6 XT, and the LT, would it be possible to "build a 6XT" if you will, since they are EOL and unavailable, by taking an A6 PCB from an A6 PRO, since they are still available, a replacement display assembly for a 5/6XT, along with a replacement faceplate and screen assembly and assemble them to achieve a 6 XT? All of which are available on the Aquacomputer site. On a sort of unrelated note, I've noticed that some A6 PRO, A6 XT, and LT PCBs have all black backside connectors and some of them have old school yellow/tan connectors, what is the difference, if any, in the two?

Functionally they are exactly the same. The Pro has a different faceplate to the XT and the XT also has a remote. (my remote is collecting dust) So yes you can do what you suggest, if you can get the parts? Looking on Aquacomputer website they list a replacement screen for the 6 but I can't see a faceplate.

That’s what I assumed. I’ll be trying it in a week or so and will let you know how it works out. I’ll post pics as well. Thanks for the feedback. 👍

If I want to add another fan group to my Aquero is the poweradjust the right add on?

I'm just using it to run my Noctua NF-F12s cooling my ram. PWM fans. Just running two fans off of it. Should I pick up the heatsink too?

I also have a High Flow Next connected. Do I need an Aquabus splitter cable to connect both devices to the Aquaero, or can I just use the other Aquabus low port?

poweradjust can not be used for PWM fans because it only offers a voltage controlled output. You should take a look at the QUADRO.

For two or more aquabus devices you will need an aquabus y-cable, a splitter like SPLITTY9 or the aquabus X4 module. The aquabus low port can not be used. It was using a different protocol and this port has been reprogrammed to serve as a second flow sensor port many years ago because devices that support the older aquabus protocol are even much older and not used anymore by anyone (hopefully ).

My aquasuite has lost access to the MB / CPU info. Google is suggesting solutions (restart the service, uninstall / reinstall, etc) but nothing is helping. It was there a few days ago - now gone. Any suggestions? It can't get through my firewall but I don't really care about the outside world seeing my stats. Should I care about that from ME seeing my stats?

Happens to me sometimes, most recent a few days ago. Usually restarting as Admin works, somtimes seems to take a reboot.

Check to see if HWinFO, if you use it, updated. The past two updates to HWiFO changed something in how it reports sensor data and I had to reset all of the monitored sensors in Aquasuite. A bit of a pain to be honest, so I rolled back HWiFO to the version before since nothing updated in the last two versions affected me.

I have tried a bunch of things - no luck at all. I am running HWInfo (v7.32) which is old (2022). It might be that CPUID update I got from MSI - I will try uninstalling that.

Edit: No change at all.

I have been reading through this thread and noticed that infoseekers screens look different than mine (post 15001) - that is understandable on the side bar (he has some different hardware) but his screen shots are also showing maintenance mode and hardware monitoring.

This is what I am seeing (top part when service is stopped, bottom part when service is running)(

Something is deffo not right with what those SS are showing, how can the service be running yet it says no connection? Have you tried, Opening task manager (ctrl alt & delete) select services tab, find Aquacomputer service, right click and select open services. Find Aquacomputer again, right click and select properties, then change the recovery settings to force a restart of the service ?

The hardware monitoring is processed by the background service. So, if it is not running or you can not connect to it, you won't have any system data in the aquasuite.

You should also check the Windows event viewer. If we assume that the service can not start because of a problem, you should find some further information there. Here is an example for the aquasuite so you get an idea what you are looking for:

Yep - I have done that a number of times.

You should also check the Windows event viewer.
I will look into this.

I also looked at the change log between X.72 (info's version) and X.76 (my version) and 'Update: Hardware monitoring' does appear a number of times. Not sure if that means anything for me ... but it does imply some coding work happening to the system.

Have you actually tried unblocking the service in your firewall and see if that resolves the issue?

I will look into this.
Results: Nothing (that I could see).

I uninstalled Aquasuite, reinstalled using the installer, rebooted (as requested by installer). Suite being run as admin, firewall turned OFF. No change in what I have been seeing (ie nothing from motherboard) for the last few days. Looking at Data Quick View shows me info from the aquaero and (some) info from Aqua Service (time related stuff, the aquasuite profile (that said - the value here is '-1'.)

I looked at the event logger. Events with AquaSuite tagged as the 'source' were informational only (service stopped, started, etc).

I looked at all non-informational items (see picture below) and couldn't see any that mentioned Aquasuite).

MCEBuddy seems to be having some issues - but that is another story for another day.

I turned the firewall off. No joy.

My firewall is controlled by Kaspersky so I also dug into setting apps as 'trusted'. Here is what I have ...

That the hardware monitoring has been updated is mentioned in almost every changelog because its database for further hardware has been extended.

I would bet that your virus scanner is the culprit. Would not be the fist time that they block or even delete something without further notice.
