Hi

I recently clocked my amd processor from 3,4 to 3,7MHz. I now want to proceed further and hopefully reach 3,8-3,9 with some help from someone a bit more experienced than I am:)
To begin with I must admit I am quite unfamiliar with the M4a79xtd EVO BIOS (and OC in general) as several of the terms are unknown for me. Although I have read through numerous of manuals I do not want to mess around any more without any expert input.

With my current setup I am able to run PRIME95 torture with no issues for hours.
My core temps during full load never exceed 50 C.

What i initially did to reach 3,7 was to increase the multiplier to 18,5 and HT Link to 2,4 MHz.
I have not altered any voltages.

Hopefully someone will be kind enough to give me some pointers based on BIOS info below.

Thanks

upping your ref clock will up everything. i hear between 2600 and 2800 is the sweet spot for nb. keep your htlink between 1900 and 2100, upping the voltage step by step can help with stability. for me, it helped to keep my ram as close to 1600 as i could (it's 1600 at stock). you may have to bump the nb/cpu voltage one or twice. for upping the ref clock, try incriments of 5s with the occasional vcore bump as needed. when you reach a wall, trottle back the ref clock by increments of 2 til you get nearly stable, then back one or two more for 24/7 stability.

Does it run that vcore @ 3.4 ghz? That voltage rating is awfully high unless you've got something like LLC raising it. It almost looks like you're using some autoOC function on the board.

Your vcore shouldn't sit higher than 1.425v with that chip if you're at stock.
