Screw those 1UP's things!
I'm sure they are a great little bargain, but nothing has replaceable parts and holds up like the real thing!
I had a Voodoo 3 3000 AGP (and PCI) in the late 90's and yes, they are relics now, but its great to own them again, even in this form!
I wanted a pair of Hydro Thunder machines, but these 2004 Rush 2049 Special Editions have updated 27" CRT monitors, and the game actually looks great and runs smooth, besides a dip here and there. Machines have force feedback in the wheel, a sub in the seat, 5.1 Surround with a clutch, brake and gas. It's awesome! Took a moment to link them together (needed a certain router, think a crossover cable works too) but they are super fun!
I also got a Deluxe Edition of Tekken 3 with the original (rebuilt) 32" CRT, Original working PCB and a Pandora's Box 9 so I can run everything from The Simpsons Arcade, Turtles in Time all the way to Pac-Man with the PCB switcher.
These machines take everyday fuses and bulbs, and you can replace just about everything, and they are tough.
I did some restoration on both, but nothing to major.
The Rush's are probably worth $1500 a piece now, and I'd want about $2000 for the Deluxe Dynamo Tekken 3, but screw that, keeping these forever!
Any hoo, what do you folks think?
