I have 2 double-sided, and one single-sided 512 sticks of DDR400 RAM. I noticed the other day that CPU-Z shows them running at 119MHz. My FSB is at 238MHz, if that matters. Anyway, In the BIOS, the memory frequency is manually set at 200MHz. My options are 200, 266, 333, and 400MHz. In my motherboard's manual, it says two double, and one single should run at 200MHz (Lame).
So, eh. ***?
Before I post, I just noticed that 238/2 is 119. Is there a setting for memory dividing in the BIOS? If I'm not mistaken, I should be able to run it at least at 1:1.
Edit: Also, in the BIOS itself, it says 100MHz for the Memory clock, and just a few lines under it lies the setting at 200MHz.
Delete this post if you will. If I set the value to 266, the DIVIDER (not the clock, as shown) is put to 133. This continues until it tops out the memory at the highest value possible without going over 200MHz for the Double-Sided RAM penalty. I'm now running it at 187MHz, and there's a noticeable improvement.
