I have a Gigabyte Nvidia RTX 3050 8GB Gaming OC. I've been trying to overclock it to get more out of it as I'm extremely bottle necked by my Ryzen 7 5800X3D.
I was using Gigabyte Aorus to do this, with +1000mhz Memory, and +110 GPU/Core clock.
Yet I noticed in GPUz/CPUz/HwInfo ect it would read 2000mhz memory / 1822 GPU.
(the defaults for this card are 1750memory/1822gpu)
So it appeared the memory overclock was sticking, however no matter what the core clock was not.
I tried using MSI Afterburner instead, and same result. However I noticed something.
If I underclocked the core clock, (no more than -125, any more and the negative clock would stick) the core clock would stay at 1822, yet the voltage would go from 1000mV to 1100mV.
So I'm wondering first off, is there anyway to overclock the core clock on this hard or is it hard stuck at 1822mhz? and if thats the case, would underclocking the core just enough so that it doesnt stick but enough so that it up's the voltage from 1000mV to 1100mV yield any performance advantages? I'm not too concerned about life expectancy of it as I'm due for an upgrade within the next 6months
