I guess the "let's lift the bottom of the case one inch off the ground by using a piece of metal that goes the whole width of the case and from front to back" look it the new hotness in cases.

This is about the 5th company that I've seen do that in recent releases.

Unless I'm missing something, I guess no optical drives, no USB or headphone/mic ports, etc. Maybe it's on top somewhere.

 

I still think that the FT02 was one of the best cases ever. All the rest are MEH

 

did Silverstone design this in 2005 and decide to show it off in 2014?

USB ports are at the top.
The optical drive is on the front panel, but it's a Slim ODD.

I agree for the price, since I had three of them. But the TJ11 top them all.

 

Yes! I have been waiting for this case. Time to see how to matches up to the FT02 to see if it's time to update my case.

Except Silverstone has done that with the FT02 which came out quite a few years ago. It comes with the territory of the rotated mobo.

 

Is it left or right side windowed?
Or can it be both?
After i saw the origin millenium case i am not sure in this...

 

180mm AP181 sleeve bearing bottom fans but at least you can swap them for AP-182?

Great layout, direct airflow, not much space wasted for components noone will use, but I really expected it to be more roundish... Also silverstone, make black ap183s powered by psu and controlled by pwm (white is ok for silver version ofc).

 

Fingers crossed that there's a windowed version.

Edit: Actually, there probably won't be one, the slim ODD would get in the way.

 

It's a great concept, but they should have just made it a "FT02 Mini" design wise though.

I bet they have usual ports somewhere but optical drive is pretty much dead for most enthusiasts nowadays. I ditched mine 6 years ago.

 

Wonder how it would look laying on it's side? Might make a nice desktop or media pc case.

The Article is mislabeled. It comes with the white AP182 fans as you can see in the second photo.

There's always been a windowed version. The ODD goes on the motherboard/right side, the window will be on the left side.

Well, it would look... big. Something like their crown case or big origenae case. But quite good imo if its brushed aluminium (except silverstone branding would be turned by 90 degrees). But looking at the case again and again I actually dont like that front isnt completely flat.

A window on the left would only allow you to view the back of the mobo.

I consider myself an enthusiast. I use my blu-ray player at-least once a week. Only way to import my movies and convert them to the file format I need for my devices.

It's still a raven case though ( according to the article ). And after last years FT04 and RV04 then being a Silverstone enthusiast you'd be able to tell they don't much care what you think is a raven or fortress design

And yes I very much love my Silverstone cases ( GD08, GD05, ML04, ML05, SG05 * 2, FT02, PS07, TJ08, TJ07 ).
