So I recently purchased a Steelseries QcK mouse pad, and let me begin by saying I love it.

However during the 2-3 weeks I have had it on my desk, I have noticed that it attracts a lot of dust and being an OCD clean freak its really bothering me. I haven't cleaned a 'gaming' mouse pad before and wanted to know (assuming it isn't going to damage the mouse pad) how to clean it. I tried a very fine microfiber cloth but it did nothing. I would have thought it would have caught some of the dust on the pad but it did not. Any suggestions with potential cleaning or dust removal on the pad?

The wonders of new carpet huh

i just brushed an insane amount of dust out of my Hien actually, the pad actually looks bright red now. lol. didnt notice any difference in tracking or in paint tests though.
Do you just clean the Hien with the brush? Or do you use water too, the white streaks and dust on my Hien are starting to bother me but I'm not sure exactly how to treat it because it's not exactly a traditional cloth pad.

if you start to see the white streaks then clean with some warm water and brush, then let it dry.

if my pad isnt dirty i just use it to brush any dust and debris off of it that accumulate between matches/games/whatever you're doing.

okay, so I used a really fine brush tip attachment that my vacuum had and I must say other than some lines that it has formed (nothing major) it has taken away about a good 70% of the dust. The rest I would have to say are either deeper into the cloth pad or just wont come out using a vacuum. I will try some other methods mentioned above and report back when I am next free

I just recently cleaned my hien with a brush and some laundry detergent. I used a very small amount on an area that was slightly discolored. Make sure to use stuff that doesn't contain any scents (I used some organic stuff). I scrubbed it gently and rinsed until the water no longer created soap suds.
