I too had this problem when I first bought the pad. I think I either got used to it after using it for a bit or I got used to it once it got colder and I was wearing full sleeves/a sweater.

I would recommend trying it for a few days and if it still inconvences you after that, then return it.

It may be that since it's a relatively thicker pad than normal (6 mm), your wrist is at a bit of a decline and the fresh edge of the pad is digging into it.

 

I wouldn't say it's unheard of. A pro tip is letting a bit of the pad hang off your desk/table so your arm/wrist is resting on the pad itself and not the abrasive edge.

That's good advice. Wouldn't you need a longer/taller mouse pad though, especially if you have more of your forearm on the table/surface?

For low sensitivity players, yes.

 

i use the qck heavy for ages, and therefore have a couple of old ones aswell, which i cut in pieces and never get to feel the downsides of a qck heavy ever

This is why I bought the Logitech G240 instead. So thin, like <3mm you can't feel you have a mousepad on the desk almost.

 

Does the mousepad make your arm feel itchy? While playing CS:GO it does for me because I have to move my arm a lot. (I use low sensitivity)

Qck+ is 3mm also. The reason that I didn't get the Heavy it's because it's double that

 

The thickness is why one buys the Heavy, imo. Comfortable. Well, okay, size and availability are good too.

 

I rest my wrist/forearm on the edge of it and never had this issue..

 

I'm returning the mousepad. Going to buy a Razer Goliathus, the Control Edition one. This is definitely not normal.

I would recommend against getting the goliathus control. It has little fibers that stick out and really annoy me. The mantis control had the same issue.

I'd look for a supermat in a local electronics store.

The Goliathus Control could be too rough for you if you have sensitive skin.

You might wanna talk to SteelSeries support for this matter. I own a QCK+ Fnatic asphalt edition and I don't seem to have this issue.

 

Yea i've never experienced itchy material on any QcK+ I've used. The store won't even exchange it for you when you've clearly, barely used the mousepad?

 

I've been using a Qck Heavy since December without any issue. Mine is very soft/pliable and doesn't irritate my skin.

You might have a defective pad.

Could you be having an allergic reaction? Could it be your skin is too dry?

I used wipes to clean the cloth of the mousepad, it's good now. The edges are still rough though.

 

You could put it in the wash with your clothes too.

 

I wash it with a brush

I find it really good. I use it with Avior 7000 and it slides really good, not too easy not too hard. I had a cheaper A4Tech X7-300MP or something like that and it was heavier and offered more resistance and also absorbed sweat like crazy. I have the Qck+ for 3-4 weeks and it's the same as new. I like this one better. Also it's pretty thin which I prefer over the heavy version that is twice the depth. So far I like it we'll see how long will last

at least you shouldn't buy the goliathus control if you somewhat liked the mousing on the qck heavy, because the gol. control has a completly different glide.
