Looks like it's actually taxing on the GPU. Guru3D just uploaded some results and a 1080 can barely hit 60fps at 1080p in ultra details... nevermind in extreme mode... a 1080ti struggles too

 

Why can't they make a benchmark for the CPU, it's much needed at these times lol

Figured as much, tried to run it anyways. Showing the setup files were corrupted, not sure what happened during download. I am going to try again, hopefully with better results.

 

Is this engine used for any games? If not the only usage for this benchmark is to compare overclocks and nothing more.

Never did, never will. It's benchmarking software, and that's that. I helps you to compare the raw performance of a GPU and maybe for OC contests.

Clearly it isn't. We all want to measure Ryzen versus Intel, but the fact is that CPU doesn't matter at the high end.

Given that the last benchmark was DX12, I seriously doubt this is limited to DX11. It should support at least OGL and almost certainly DX12.

Its Open GL or Directx when you run the benchmark. I was getting 20-22 on FPS. Will run again later when I have more time.

 

WOW. I've never seen a game or benchmark peg the GPU usage at 100% in afterburner. It's always been 99% max.

 

On my sig rig with GTX 980 Ti core boosted to 1400 and 3500 on mem with "stock" classified clocks.

 

On a GTX 970, running at 1530 MHz.

I ran it once, but it doesn't look like SLI was enabled. I am trying to figure out why this is.
