Hello everyone,

I've got a quick question about the water cooling of the new RTX 3080 TI cards. Last time i built a computer that was water cooled was back in 2013 so I've been doing a lot of researching and learning all the new features, specs, capabilities of each component, etc etc. I've been looking at a lot of reviews and photos of the two graphic boards that are from the popular companies and they look identical but then again it's really hard to believe it's real. So I'd rather come on the Forum and get real information from people that may have experienced it or know more about it. So hears my questions.

Are the board's for both the RTX 3080 and RTX 3080 TI about the same? Id figure that they would be similar to each other other than a chip or two. I know that they aren't exactly the same... just wondering if a RTX 3080 waterblock would work on a RTX 3080 TI. I'm asking this question for more knowledge with these cards before i purchase one.

Cards that i am looking at getting is a EVGA RX 3080 TI Ultra Gaming or Gigabyte Aorus Extreme RTX 3080 TI.

The boards are typically the same for the specific models; I.e reference 3080 block will work for reference Ti, EVGA FTW3 3080 will work for FTW3 3080Ti, etc. However, you want to check with the maker of whichever block you’re planning on for confirmation.

Which “ultra gaming” are you referencing when you mention the EVGA? The XC3 or FTW3? If the latter, see above. Otherwise, stay the hell away from the XC3. Check EVGA forum for why. I have a 2080Ti XC gaming which is a beast so also was set on a XC but it appears EVGA has seriously gimped their 3080Ti version of this card and there are reports of the hydrocopper version performing about the same or even poorer than a Founder’s Edition, which is why I went FTW3 (with EK vector FTW3 block and backplate).

If you plan to go EK, the FTW3 3080 works on the Ti as people here and on EVGA forums have installed them. I can also confirm Bitspower FTW3 3080/90 works with Ti - I asked them personally. Optimus is another option. I believe Byski is the same deal as is Alphacool but as I said you can contact support for any of them to get 100% confirmation if the Ti is not explicitly referenced in the product description.

Thank you very much for the helpful information. I knew i'd get better results on what is true and what is not on here. :)

I knew i forgot to put something in the message. I've been looking at the FTW3 because of those reason's you spoke of. I read a lot about the XC3 having issues which made me focus solely on the FTW3. I'm not sure which water block I'd like to go with just yet. That's the next thing i need to start looking into. Which one looks better and has the better performance all around.

Once again thank you very much for your help

Thank you for that Input. I'll look into that brand.

Like i mentioned before, i've been out of the computer building game for a good while so this all helps. ha ha ha I'm still wondering to this day on why i got out of it in the first place.

Might make life easier, but look into the Hybrid cards too. EVGA, ASUS and Gigabyte all make hybrid cards.

Anyone know anything if XSPC has stopped Producing? Or scaling down maybe? I've always preffered their Blocks the most over any other Brands (none come close asthetically imo), but all they have on their product Page atm is a 2080Ti Block.. Any Official News from them anywhere, or should i write them directly and ask?
