Hey guys,
Becuause of my corrupt files on my win98 HDD on my Penitum 2, I have decided to use my win2000 which was laying around . Problem is, a blue screen appears right as it is about to start win2000 saying the following word for word...
"The ACPI BIOS in this system is not fully compliant with the ACPI specification. Please erad the README.TXT for possible workarounds. You can also visit www.hardware-update.com to see if a new bios is available.
This BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI complaint. If you are unable to obtain an updated or latest bios supplied by your vender, you can turn off ACPI mode during text mode set up. To do this, press the F7 key when you are prompted to install storage drivers. The system will not notify you that the F7 key was pressed - it will silently disable ACPI and allow you to continue your installation. "
So after reading this, i am very confused. Is it possible to get this OS running my PC with a mobo designed for win98??? Any help would be appreciated and if you know what to do, please post detailed instructions. Thanks
