Indeed rest in peace old friend...

On a side note..

Yamauchi vowed then not to borrow money to fund Nintendo's operations. More than a decade after he stepped down, that remains with the company holding about $8.7 billion of cash and equivalents and no debt as of June 30, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
Keep on naying you naysayers you. These guys aren't going anywhere

I remember when I used to play Nintendo games all the time when I was younger.
I too am glad to have been part of that era.

RIP

As a Mariners fan I'm happy though sorry. This guy has ran the Mariners into the ground. He has never even attended a game. Baseball teams need owners who are invested in the league. It was simply an investment for this man.
Who gives a crap, this guy did things far more important then run some sports team. He changed the world!

I'm not sad he's dead, he led a full life and left a huge mark on the world, can't do much more then that in one lifetime.

Cheers, mate, you deserve the rest.

Played some Super Mario Bros. today in your honor. Only wish I had an actual NES and not Virtual Console. Hell, wish I had a Famicom and not just an NES. You believed in that thing and made a legacy out of it and it made a legacy out of you.

Garage sales and used video game stores are gold mines for the old goodies!

Proud and loud I can say I've enjoyed many good moments born from the vision and bussiness decisions of Yamauchi.

Without him we wouldn't have many things we take for granted today. Hell of a visionary who was good enough to hear, learn and trust some of those who have shaped digital entertainment since the beggining...he was one of those, an agent of change.

Tomorrow I'll drop a bit of liquor in his honor, so he can taste it too. You left a hell of a legacy, it's the least I can do, Yamauchi-San.
