There is a cable running from the front IO of the Lian Li PCA04 case (images below). I have the ASUS P8Z68-M Pro motherboard and I can't for the life of me find any pins to connect it to on the mb. There are a series of pins running along side the RAM but there are too many of them and too far apart (the pins) for it to fit. One of the series of pins has TPM and PWR written along side (this is not the 24-pin, I have that connected

) and the other series of pins has LPT written just above it, and those pins are just above the 24-pin power connector.

I would take a photo of the motherboard but with all the tubing for wcing in the way you can't see much lol. I have also checked the mb booklet to no avail.

Anyway, here is the cable

I think he's right, but wow expecting native usb3 seems a lil presumptuous. The case I use has a usb3 male to female in it for its front header.

It is a USB 3.0 20 pin connector, but he doesn't have a place to connect it. The motherboard doesn't have USB 3.0 headers you have the manual for the P8P67 Pro not the P8Z68-M Pro. He can still plug in the USB 2.0 connector and the e-SATA connector as well as the front panel audio, it just means that he will only have the one USB 2.0 front panel connector but the USB 3.0 front panel connector won't work.

what you mean he doesn't have a place to connect it ?
give me a minute ,let me download manual

EDIT; Z68 V-Pro have the same layout as my Pro look at the pic above

@OP what's one the end of the cord ? (bracket or front panel ?)

That is the connector I was talking about, the pins are too far apart from one another for the cable to fit, and on the second row down, right side I don't have a pin however I do have a pin top left corner so it is layed out different from the pic you posted.

Not true, I have an HD Audio cable (already plugged in) and then I have a SATA cable (plugged in), then the USB 3.0 20 pin cable which I can't find where to plug in. So at the moment the only thing that is working from the front IO is the headphone and mic jack, and I believe the eSATA port, none of my USBs work atm

His motherboard only has two rear USB 3.0 ports, it doesn't have a USB 3.0 header.

Edit: The manual I found for your case shows it should have one front panel USB 2.0 and one front panel USB 3.0. Does your case have two front panel USB 3.0 instead?

The front IO has the following:
Power switch
Reset button
headphone jack
mic jack
usb 2.0
usb 3.0
eSATA

cables running from the front IO:
HDD/power led light
HD Audio
SATA cable
and the 20 pin 3.0 (this cable runs from 2 seperate cables (connecting to usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 and joins into the 1 20 pin header)

just do yourself a favor..forget about it , you have enough USB 3.0 on the back ,by the time you will need more you will figure out what to do with that cable

No, the info you found is correct, 1 usb 2.0 and 1 usb 3.0. and yes, I have 2 rear usb 3.0 ports

You need to get a USB 3.0 add on card which has a 20 pin connector on it. Unfortunately the only two (First, Second) I could find on newegg are sold out right now. If you look around you should be able to find them somewhere else. Just make sure that the internal connector on the card is a 20 pin, not a female USB 3.0.

That should do it, but you will only have USB 2.0 speeds since you are connected to a USB 2.0 header. At least it works, and if you really need the speed you have two connectors in the back.

Your motherboard doesn't have a USB 3.0 header. That cable in the picture is a USB 3.0 to 2.0 adapter header, so you'll only get USB 2.0 connectivity.

I am glad this was resolved.
