that's interesting... this game really shines when you have more than one person playing, did they happen to say why they did not like the multiplayer?

It was a simple matter of stepping all over each other trying to kill the bad guys, I guess. Well, that and the fact that when one wanted to get up and use the restroom or something, the other would invariably run off and leave him.

I've not even tried co-op, as I feel the game is graphically pretty chaotic as it is. Throwing more players in targeting and killing the same creatures would just become an exercise in frustration for me. Honestly, I almost dislike the Diablo style of game play, where challenge is typically a simple function of monster count. I enjoy it well enough on my own as a simple diversion, though.

i can definitely understand that. The first playthrough i did not allow any others in the game simply because i wanted to see how the game was intended to play.

with regards to multiplayer and stepping on each others toes... that definitely happens on normal, when pretty much every character can faceroll just about every mob out there. Once you're in multiplayer nightmare or higher, it's actually good that you're both attacking the mobs because they have quite a bit more defenses and the damage increase is ridiculous... Hell is even worse.

i finally hit 60 and got to inferno last night, went to bed and when i logged in earlier today i also found all my stuff is gone, i have not joined any online games. nor have i played with anyone except 2 other friends. yet there are 3 people on my "recently played" list that i don't know.

Also since launch, about once a day i would get a message saying my account has been logged in from a different location.

i'm starting to think that it isn't actually anyone being hacked, but more of a severe bug that blizzard hasn't found yet.

I just dont understand how people are getting other peoples details???

If it was one or two people who were dumb enough to be giving out their details for others then okay, but how is it such a widespread problem that people are apparently having their login details snatched?

I was just reminded of the authentication dealio that Dragon Nest uses, which you set up a pin number and punch it in by mouse whenever you log in. The number keys on the screen are randomly scrambled to prevent mouse tracking, and since you can't use a keyboard to put it in keyloggers don't work. Capturing the data is no good either, because it's an encrypted exchange, sooo... Essentially the only way around it is to watch the person punching their pin number in via video feed or by standing over their shoulder. Not impossible, but not very likely.

Not bad security for a free game....

My friends had his account hacked. Blizzard restored his account to an earlier date so most of his stuff stayed intact. Good to know they have preventive measures such as this.

I just logged in to find all my gold gone. I've never played a public game and I have only played coop with 2 "real name" friends. All my gear seems to be intact at least. Noticed some guy I don't know in my friends list under "recently played".

Changed my password, got the authenticator app, and sms alert messages although I'm not sure that will help.

My friend got Hacked today actually. Lost everything on his lvl 31 Barbarian. I mean EVERYTHING. He made a post on Blizzards Forums, after a few responds, they removed the Thread (Blizzard). They know they are screw, and are buying time Lol. They will have a patch out soon you guys.
