With all 12 screws removed, pry the top of the Wii U up and away from the body until it separates from the rest of the frame revealing the console's fairly compact internals. On the top side of the board you'll see the eMMC/NAND package, in this case it's a dual-die Samsung eMMC solution (there's another Toshiba NAND device on the back of the board, not for user storage)If we assume a 40nm process for the GPU, then we're looking at something a bit larger than the RV740. The Wii U does boast backwards compatibility with games made for the original Wii, which is made possible thanks to a shared ISA with the original PowerPC based Wii.

So is it 32bit ddr3 then?

I bought one for Nintendo games that's all and its great for that. Super Mario U is awesome and tough.

I just don't get the new Wii controller. So they've completely abandoned the motion controls pioneered by the original Wii-mote? I really loved the wand implementation in Zelda SS; how in the world will the new Zelda play???

If you are 12 year old maybe it fun. If you still play Mario, Zelda, Pokemon then get it. I dont see the point really. PC is enough for me. I only get PS3 or XBOX for some exclusives.

The tablet controller isn't sold separately as only one can be used at a time, you have to contact Nintendo directly if the one you get with the console break.

The Wiimotes (and Wii Motion Plus) are still compatible with the console and are even required for some games if you want to play multiplayer modes.

oh really now? hmm eh... hrmm... I just dont know then.. I really thought you can have more than 1 and do your own thing on them.... I guess my imagination went a little wild there thinking of the possibilities. I gotta remember that what ever has potential it is never executed correctly on a closed system

I only got PS3 for Bluray. PC is where it's at. That said, I haven't owned a Nintendo console since the N64, even though I am a huge Nintendo fan, simply because PS2 > Gamecube. I wish Nintendo luck. Mario was great back in the day and sure still is now but Zelda is the best of their lineup, hands down.

So are motion controls absent with the new controller and you have to use your old Wii-Mote for that?
