I did for me. Sorry! I just read through the rest of the thread, I haven't checked it since wed. I had 2 different r9 290x's and they both flickered on the samsung panel to some degree. I had the sapphire tri-x which was horrible flickr was so bad i couldn't do anything. I then tried a XFX DD version, didn't flickr at first but after 15 minutes or so of Valley it flickered pretty consistently. That was the end of my rage limit and ordered the 780ti.

Been running strong for weeks now without any issues. Only issue i run into now is FarCry 3 fills the vram on the 780 ti at ultra texture settings

haha
What are you using to measure vram usage?

FarCry 3 doesn't even hit two GB of vram for me with all settings maxed but AA off.

I use PrecisionX onscreen to monitor usage.

I just use GPUz at its only at 3840 x 2160 that it fills the memory. I think there just might be areas in that game that spike it. I just get a FPS dip for a few secs and then its fine again.

It's pretty clear it's an issue between the signal strength but there are issues with the AOC panel as well. The AOC is a very consistent flicker, where as other users have been experiencing a much more intermittent fault, which is where the signal strength from the card and the cable are coming into scrutiny. All very much unanswered at this point

I do agree, but you cannot deny that R9. 290/X got a HW problem that cripples them at 4K . We tested yesterday with my friend a HD7870 onthe A oc and it ran 60Hz OK

I do really doubt the feasibility of AMD - AOC fix as R+9 s flicker on ASUS and Samsung as well, albeit maybe ? to a lesser degree . Hey , this has been written here before : I got an AOC - happy with it . Responsive , no dead pixels etc Why should I give it back ?

Time to go green ..

That´s my thinking, too. I mean the 780 Ti is a nice card and very powerful but to be honest even current generation games are already scratching the VRAM wall.
Which means with next generation titles, you already would need to turn down the settings or get a new GPU.
With Titan Black not so much....at a cost though.

The 295x2 would be nice because I could always put a second one in there (or another 290x) without the need to switch over to x79/x99.

Sorry for the off topic.

Just wanted to chime in with my experience.

Got an Asus PB287Q several days ago...

I have a Gigabyte GTX770 4GB Windforce.

At first I hooked up the monitor using a spare HP Displayport 1.2 Cable I had.

It worked fine since at first the displayport on the Asus is set to 1.1.

I changed it to 1.2 then changed the monitor to 60Hz. This is when all the popping started happening and the right side of the screen was freaking out.

The left side of the screen was fine.

I shut everything down and tried using the DP cable that came with the monitor. That fixed all the cracking and popping and weird issue with the display on the right side.

Everything seemed fine, but now, randomly the monitor just goes to sleep. "No Displayport Signal". I can still hear/access the program while the monitor is off.

Windows Powersavings is set to Never turn off the monitor, so its not that. And its definitely Random. I could be using the system for 1 min and it will happen, sometimes I can use

it for an hour and it will be fine. But it does happen consistently and its very annoying because there is nothing I can do besides doing a cold boot on the system.

From reading other peoples issues, it does sound like they monitor is somehow getting an out of spec instruction (or at least interpreting it as out of spec) and shutting off. The only way to stop that out of spec

instruction is to cold boot.

I can confirm, at least from what I've had, that the ASUS is by far the better panel between the AOC.

Better colours, better response, better semi gloss finish. Only thing the AOC has on it is the speakers are slightly better.

Had or heard? The panel used is exactly the same (M280DGJ-L30) and uses the same screen surface.
