I see. The Noctua 140mm IPPC2000 I'm using barely hits 50% fanspeed most of the time.

Well I can't hear it above the other case fans, which I want to replace... so maybe I'll hear it then.

Maybe there is not enough airflow in the case. What kind of intake fan do you have?

Maybe i just need to get reference blower style card :-/
I think a blower style cooler would not help at all. My experience with them is pretty bad (they always run hot). I think with the small size of the M1 the case just has trouble taking out all the heat. I don't know if you can set a fan to take hot air out somewhere?

While blowers do run hotter than their axial counterparts, they are much better at exhausting air out of the chassis rather than pushing it around the chassis like axial fans do.

In a chassis with little airflow it can definitely help, but I might try improving your exhaust instead.

I have tried with side and top panel off, sam temperatures
.
But if i lay it with motherboard at the buttom, the card holds higher boost and wont exceed 82 degrees. But thats not the way the Ncase m1 is supposed to be.
I had a rx 470 blower style gpu, and actually liked it. Changed it because of fan idle noise, will a 980ti reference a shot
Does that not work im forced to watercool it :)
