9% of chips from Igor’s were 115+
I think but don’t remember so don’t quote me, but p120 was the top 2.3% of chips
I already did the calculations. 1% of all K/KF chips were P-SP 120+.
If we exclude all chips below P-SP 113, then it is 9%.
And if we exclude all chips below P-SP 115, then it is 5%.

Wow, it actually looks like the KF is overall worse than the K for the 13700 and 13600.
And even if you got a bottom of the barrel chip, you could just exchange it easily for a better one.
I wonder why they're so vastly different from the 13900s.
I believe that i have a quite reasonable 13700kf so that's not entirely true . Ive got this weekend to really push it before the KS turns up on monday or tuesday 🍺

It's just based on those charts in the binning article by Igor's Lab.
The KF for the 13600 and 13700 seems to be overall stuck in the middle, and doesn't really offer anything on the high end. Not really sure why.
The K offers both extremes, but you could always exchange the crap chips for better ones.

No idea. Probably find the worst sample KS and extrapolate it, since the VIDs would be closer to 58x tier.
It looks like Intel added 100mv. If you remove 100 that's 1.353v an SP 121 vs his 120 is 1.346.

To achieve 6Ghz all cores stable in practically anything, you really need direct die and a custom water loop.

Honestly, I would run it stock 5.6Ghz and maybe allow 6Ghz to boost on any other the cores and not just (2) cores.

You have a good chip, so just undervolt it and take advantage of its great silicon, and enjoy ultra low power, ultra low temps (Considering your cooling) You are not wasting anything.

I can do 5.8 all cores and (2) cores 6Ghz with a nice and low 232 watts through R23. So while your cooling isn’t fantastic, you can still enjoy good performance with it being undervolted and have lower temps than all the other air cooled guys.

Just, don’t cook it up. Avoid stress testing and power loads unless you can keep it really cool preferably below 80C. Use the chip as intended.

Yeah have thought of doing that. Mayne run it at same 5.6GHz and have much lower temps.

I did run OCCT Large Data variable test and it passed one hour run at 5.8GHz. Though holy cow CPU package power was 215 to 230 watts, though temps were very reasonable in the 70s though a rare peak at 92C.

Though if CPU package power exceeds 254 watts is there a high fast degradation risk within 30 minutes or an hour regardless of how good of an AIO/cooler and temps you have??

KS warranty is for 320 watts. Intel planned obsolescence warranty.

So is my CPU actually better than an average P core SP 120 since VID is 1.346 which is lower than 1.353.

Though I do have it set on AI Theaker to Sync all Cores at 58X

Though that should not affect the values at all shown on the screenshot I posted with VIDs and SP values right?

It's not better it's the same as a K P core SP 120. I'm just comparing a K 121 using K SP vid table.

Posting the V/F table screenshot from your BIOS would be a lot more useful, as then we can see the default VIDs for the lower points like 5.4 and 5.7 etc, and then compare them to the K/KF.

I was surprised to see the 13900KS for sale today, thought these would be coming out later. Anyone know if the SP values of these KS chips are equivalent to the normal K chips? Like the difference between SP for 12900K vs 12900KS

I wondered the same thing but the ones investigating believe the answer to be yes they are the same.

Though I think the12900K and 12900KS chips SP values were not the same for silicon quality rating or were they?

And what is the fastest cache/ring clock anyone has and is going above 5GHz hard and does it result in much more performance or no?
I tested on Aida latency between 5.0 and 5.1 was the same but 49 went up 2ns.

Dumb question maybe but I've read up on the past like 40 pages and I see no one mention using OCTVB on these KS's. Is OCTVB even still a thing? If I decide to get one I personally would try for 5.8 all core with OCTVB up to 6 as long as temps permit it for gaming. I have always ran my SP63 10900KF like that on 5.1 all core with 5.3 OCTVB and that worked miracles. It basically held 5.3 in all games but not in R23 or Y-cruncher obviously. Wasn't delidded either.

If i get one it would be on a MSI Z790 Edge cooled by an EK Velocity D-RGB (the 1 not the 2) with a 1700 conversion kit (already have that) and a Nemesis GTX 420 + 240 push pull loop which includes my 3090 as well.
