Any tips to lowering tRRDS / tFAW and tWRWRSCL? Are there other timings they are dependent on or tied to?

The attached is the best I can do while maintaining stability through overnight runs of Memtest. (I can boot, run benchmarks, etc. with tRRDS at 4 / tFAW at 16 and tWRWRSCL at 8, but I hit failures in Memtest rather quickly.) My read / write speeds are pretty constrained as a result. (Note this is just running a 7600x while I wait for x3D -- is it a CPU constraint?)

I have two sets of G.Skill M-Die (I believe), and it doesn't matter which combination of sticks I pair re: timings, etc.

Read on CCD1 CPU < 70k always.
RRDSCL/WRWRSCL/FAW 8/8/32 works?

First test FCLK with OCCT 1h Large+Extreme+Variable+AVX2.
So high latency for this settings. Are you sure that your 2200 fclk doesn't throttle?

Thanks for the help. I am stable at the attached. I can't drop tRFC below 512 or I eventually get errors.

Any advice re RFC2 / RFCsb? Is there a formula to determine timing re: RFC (or do they have a relationship to some other timing), or should I just aim for as low as I can go?

What VDD and VDDQ? For fclk 2133 probably vSOC 1.30 - 1,35 enough

trfc 512 is still high. If you got errors but can still boot, maybe try loosening other timings and try to get lower trfc stable? There are many equation for trfc2, but look like there is no best one, and look like trfc2 trfcsb not affect much.

Can try :
  • Set fclk to 2000 to avoid cpu related stability.
  • loosening rrds faw and tighten trfc.
  • tighten rrds,rdrdscl, faw, wrwrscl
  • try to get lower voltages.
My 6400 config at 1.4v, not comfortable with more than 1.43v
Image

1.435 at the moment. I might be able to drop a little lower (working my way down).

I tried dropping CL to 28, but couldn't maintain stability at VDD/Q at 1.48, and I wasn't comfortable pushing them much harder for 24/7.
tRRDS 8 tRRDL 8 tFAW 32 tRFC 496
tRAS = tRCD + tRTP 58 in your case
tRC = tRAS + tRP 96 in your case

If you think that set lowest possible timings give you best result you are wrong.
Every time It is necessary to check whether the change improved the result

What vdio voltage you use for 6400? My 7950x can't work even on 6200 with vdd/vddq/vdio 1.4, soc 1.35, vddp 1.15, vddg both 1.2. FCLK cann't over 2000, on 2033 uclk auto set to 3100 and errors on ram test, 2066 dont change uclk but pc some time ramdom reboots (need more 1.35 soc or vddg?). What the bad mc my cpu have. Now stopped at 6000 ram with fclk 2000. Ram KINGSTON FURY Renegade RGB DDR5 6400MHz 32GB

KINGSTON FURY Renegade is Hynix M, some timings are too tight, possibly causing instability.
1) Set defaults with XMP, vSOC ~1.3 to ~1.375, VDDP ~1.05 - ~1.15, FCLK 2133, 1:1, memory 64, vdd/vddq 1.43 and test fclk and uclk stubility with OCCT 1h Large+Extreme+Variable+AVX2
2) After that tune timings for 6400 16 Gb

Hey am I missing something? My Hynix A-die kit can be overclocked to ridiculous timings. I intentionally disabled ECC and ran OCCT/Ycruncher for over an hour and it passed.
I'm confused cause these timings seem way to tight to be stable. But I haven't crashed or encountered any errors.
28-33-33 seems like a nice overclock though with 50TRFCPB AND 366 TRFC

Hynix A holds tighter timings than Hynix M.
Most of rules by Jedec.

Is 1.95v on MEM VPP OK for 24/7 use?

I thought I read here somewhere that high will char/burn the little finger leads on the RAM. Or did I read wrong?

oh I thought it was the other way around?
Wasn't everyone saying to get M-die for tighter timings than A-die?
Some M die can go lower trfc (bulldoze can set 333 trfc), while A die can’t go lower than 120ns (you’re running 122ns).

Trfcsb can be set to 0 and it still boots, look like this value is not used or delta idk.
Can you run Aida64 and do latency tests to see if the timings are good for cl28? Sometimes too tight timing can result in worse results because of auto correction.

Does anyone know why my memory overclock would crash my computer (straight to black screen) when opening chrome? Went back to expo timings and voltages and it’s stable.

where to start

edit, testmem 100% passing, OCCT no errors - just chrome!
