Thanks! Already getting that so everything above is gravy!
I think there's still some UV room left.

Edit - Definitely some UV room left. Just got 33904 graphics score at 1100mV. ;)

I am getting similar temps here, I have a 360 rad and a 280mm rad, same pump, same EK water block..

Does this cooler just suck or is it a normality running this hot?
I don't know if this helps at all, but I've seen this a lot from other people. Even der8auer showed this in his video testing up to 650w. I have a 6900 xt and when I tweak it in MPT to have unlimited tdp, it will suck up more than 600w as well. The edge temp will stick around 55-60c but the hotspot will jump to 105 at times. It seems like the higher the wattage, the greater the disparity between the 2 temperatures are. I can say that having had a 6800, 6800 xt and 6900 xt, the die on each of them was never as flat as my 3080 or 3080 ti. This is anecdotally, however. I've had 3 on custom loops, and the 6900 xt at one point was just using an an alphacool 360x30mm rad. The edge temps were still quite good at 500w (with 1x360, which is actually pretty impressive), but the hotspot would sometimes hit the 115c throttle limit.

All this was done in a well ventilated case with a ddc 4.2 pump that was paired to the hotspot temps to hit 100% above 85c. I think past a certain power limit, more rad space and more flow can't compensate for whatever is going on in regards to the power distribution through the die. Just my opinion though.

Sorry for the long post. Sorry for any wrong terms or inconsistencies. I'm not a pro.

Anyone else here experiencing "driver timeout" game crashes after the 23.4.2 update?
my 1045mv setting seems to have become unstable and now is requiring 1055mv

So far I've experienced the crash in Mirrors edge undervolted and stock settings (just gonna blame that on it being old and an awful port), Destiny 2 and VR Chat (this is the exact error in vr chat that pushed me to upgrade from the RX580)

The destiny 2 crash is the one that I'm confident it's the new driver as I mostly only play that game and it's run just fine at 1045mv for the last....like month

. 2 is not stable. Go back to . 1

. 2 made their already hilariously ****ing atrocious VR and encoder drivers WORSE

XTX has been way more than just a black eye for AMD. My 6800 XT modded to hell was faster than it in VR. saying this as an XTX owner. I may just scrape for a 4090ti and sell the ****ing thing at this rate.

sold my 6800 XT to some hot anime girl I met on VRC kek, they've loved it and had no issues.

As a note, 6000 series cards are near flawless with VR, though ASW is bugged, but that's more for setups that aren't fast enough anyway.

I've not had any issues running .2 drivers...performance and stability has been pretty much the same.

I don't do VR though.
Same. I haven't had many issues with .2 drivers either. Only crashes I've had are due to what I suspect is an unstable UV/OC. Got my settings pretty locked in now, and have had a pretty smooth experience. Updated to .3 this morning as well, so guess we shall see how it goes.

Are u still using the 9900k ? I just switched my rig to 7950x
9900k was dellided to 5.2 and was bottlenecking my xtx while using multiple displays.
Couldn't get more then 31k graphic score

Just saw your CPU score can't be 9900k 😄

Yeah that would do it, I got mine pretty locked too. My reference XTX doesn't seem to like going below 1110mV I have discovered while having core set to 2600 and vram to 2614 (14 overhead), so 2600Mhz on both clocks although it loooves going higher to like 2700 all on its own.

Hi everyone, just want to ask for some advice. I just bought a Asus tuf 7900 xt recently and I did quite a bit of undervolt on it. For some reason my card can undervolt to 990 mv and keep 2865 mhz +15% smooth and stable on Wattman and give out some good score or I would say top score (for 3900x 4.15ghz) in timespy which is very good. But when I test it with port royal, my 7900x only performs like mediocre ~11000-11500 points. Have seen some 7900 xt can do above 12000 I have just check the Asic quality which is 47.6%. Just want to know is my card fine? Or do you guys think there is something wrong with the rt cores or my cpu is limiting the 7900 xt? Should I RMA it? Any thoughts would be helpful. Sorry for lack of photos for now. As I'm in a hurry going on a holiday. Thanks team. BTW, I'm using drive 4.3

Hi, again! Could anyone tell me about 7900 xtx faulty vapor chamber?
Is it working fine in vertical orientation?
Or even in vertical orientation it have way worse temperatures than properly working vapor chamber?
Does faulty vapor chamber get worse over time? Or it is stable? (I thought it is stable, just lower amount of water).
I already RMA one 4080(suprim X) and two 7900xtx (aorus elite and gaming OC) because of various issues with graphics cards fans and another bugs.
So I'm considering buying faulty reference 7900xtx on local ebay-like market because of huge discount.
Thanks in advance.

If it's cheap then yes buy it. But no the stock cooler is useless if it has the vapour chamber issue. Best put a block on it but if you do not want to go water cooling then buy one of those aftermarket air coolers you used to be able to get for cards. I have no idea if they still make them and I'm not going to google it as you can do that yourself to find out if they are still selling them.

honestly time spy scores are not good way to test your card.
i have a tuf xtx version i can undervolt it to 1080mv from stock 1150 and it will pass the test but if i put a game on instant crash.
i cant even run at 1120mv stable so i just keep it stock at 1150mv and it runs great
if i overclock it i have junction temp 85-90.
if i keep it stock card runs cool with similar core clocks max 3000 mhz, oc vas pushin 3250
so your card is for sure fine.
if u rly want to know if your card is good check the review's of other xts on the market in games and compare it with your fps in games i guarantee u will have the same if not better score.

This is gonna vary by card and set up.
Setting a good undervolt on my 7900 XTX Taichi keeps me comfortably off the max HS temp. I can run Time Spy and game for hours at 1090mV - rock solid.

look my score
i wanted to ask u how are u hitting that high with your cpu
for some reason im hiting 17.5k but my ccds in cinebench r23 run 5.35 both hitting 39,5k score actually my ccd1 is faster then ccd0.
how is your cpu behaving in stress testing ?
prime 95 they run 5.35 with avx on
when i disable avx they run 5.2 for some reason
and all this i believe i got a very good silicon for my 7950x stil time spy puts me down for no reason.
i have 2x 420 x 58mm rads in push pull currently cooling only cpu since my gpu block came damaged so waiting for spare parts
i cant hit above 90 degrees in stress testing without limitations
now running 85c -30.

my tuf with 9900k before changing the cpu

this one with nitro

here my rig
