@yzonker Are you using custom cables or cable extensions? I had some custom cables from Cablemod and they were pinned wrong so 12v was only sending 5v. Mine were Molex that were pinned wrong, but it could happen on any custom cable. Or using the cable from another PSU with a different pinout.
No, original cable that came with my Seasonic. Pulled it out of the box still tied up. Should be the right one. I realized a bit ago I didn't try another one though. Was convinced it was just some quirk with my PSU.

It's working now though so I think I won't try fixing it. 😉

Dragging up my old thread.

My replacement pump is now vibrating just as bad as the original. Obviously something else is wrong. Didn't run this one dry either.

I'm wondering if there could be a problem with the fitment of the pump in the res?

I sent a note to EK to see if they have any input.

Ok I guess this thread answers that question. They do all have balance weights. So I've had 2 junk D5 pumps from EK then. Another reason to avoid EK I guess. Worse yet, they must be stuck in my loop somewhere, probably the rads as I haven't seen anything like that in my blocks.

I have a D5 that vibrates really badly causing noise in my case. I just switched out the rotor for one from a Barrow pump, rotor is the same apart from the D5 rotor is slightly taller, and the vibration is gone.

Really narks me off cause it seems the only way to fix it, is a new pump as the rotor is not available separate.

Might just have to try the barrow pump.

Yes you can buy one. Check your thread for my post.
